<br />APPROVE FINAL CHANGE ORDER AND PROJECT COMPLETION AFFIDAVIT -
<br />STRUCTURAL STEEL PAINTING - CONRAIL BRIDGE AT WESTERNIWALNUT -PROJECT
<br />NO. 98-81
<br />Mr. Caldwell advised that Mr. Toy Villa, Public Construction Manager, has submitted the Final
<br />Change Order on behalf of N.I. Spanos Painting, Post Office Box 10908, Merrillville, Indiana,
<br />indicating no change. Additionally submitted was the Project Completion Affidavit indicating this
<br />new final cost. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Powell and carried, the Final
<br />Change Order and the Project Completion Affidavit were approved subject to the filing of the
<br />appropriate three-year Maintenance Bond.
<br />APPROVE FINAL CHANGE ORDER AND PROJECT COMPLETION AFFIDAVIT -
<br />PEDESTRIAN ENTRANCE - PULASKI PARK - PROJECT NO. 97-54
<br />Mr. Caldwell advised that Mr. Toy Villa, Public Construction Manager, has submitted the Final
<br />Change Order, on behalf of Rieth Riley Construction, Post Office Box 1775, South Bend, Indiana,
<br />indicating that the contract amount be decreased by $101.93 for a new contract sum including this
<br />Change Order in the amount of $25,390.08. Additionally submitted was the Project Completion
<br />Affidavit indicating this new final cost. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr.
<br />Powell and carried, the Final Change Order and the Project Completion Affidavit were approved
<br />subject to the filing of the appropriate three-year Maintenance Bond.
<br />APPROVE CHANGE ORDER - SIDEWALK CURB AND APPROACH REPAIRS - SOCIAL
<br />SECURITY ADMINISTRATION BUILDING - PROJECT NO. 99-26
<br />Mr. Caldwell advised that h& Toy Villa, Public Construction Manager, has submitted the Final
<br />Change Order on behalf of Northern Indiana Construction Company, Post Office Box 1333,
<br />Mishawaka, Indiana indicating that the Contract amount be increased $1,050.95 for a new Contract
<br />sum including this Change Order in the amount of $43,046.20. Upon a motion made by Mr. Powell,
<br />seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the Change Order was approved.
<br />APPROVE CHANGE ORDER - IRONWOOD WIDENING PROJECT - PROJECT NO. 98-25
<br />Mr. Caldwell advised that Mr. Darrell Baker, Division of Engineering, has submitted Change Order
<br />No. E2 on behalf of Rieth Riley Construction, Post Office Box 1775, South Bend, Indiana indicating
<br />that the Contract amount be increased $6,329.50 for a new Contract sum including this Change Order
<br />in the amount of $2,299,793.31. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Powell and
<br />carried, the Change Order was approved.
<br />ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 31-1999 - AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND'S
<br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS TO SELL CERTAIN PROPERTY OWNED BY THE BOARD OF
<br />PARK COMMISSIONERS
<br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Powell and carried, the following Resolution
<br />was adopted by the Board of Public Works:
<br />RESOLUTION NO. 31-1999
<br />WHEREAS, the Board of Park Commissioners for the City of South Bend is the owner of
<br />the real property located at 1043 LaSalle Court (Key # 18-1043-1849), in the City of South Bend;
<br />and
<br />WHEREAS, the Board of Park Commissioners for the City of South Bend, Indiana, desires
<br />to sell the real property located at 1043 LaSalle Court, in the City of South Bend, Indiana; and
<br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend's Board of Public Works is willing and able to oversee
<br />and conduct the legal sale of this real property;
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
<br />That pursuant to this resolution, the City of South Bend's Board of Public Works is
<br />hereby authorized to enter into a contract for sale of the real property located at 1043
<br />LaSalle Court in the City of South Bend, Indiana.
