REGULAR MEETING JUNE 14, 1999
<br />Engineering, Fire Department, Building Department and the Legal Department, in reference to a
<br />request as submitted by Mr. William Lamie, Architecture Design Group, South Bend, Indiana, to
<br />encroach two (2) feet into the existing four (4) foot utility and drainage easement at 1342 East Wayne
<br />North. An existing garage will be demolished and replaced with a new garage, and the south corner
<br />of the garage will project two (2) feet into the easement. Upon a motion made by Mr. Powell,
<br />seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE SCOTT FROM INDIANA TO DUBAIL -
<br />BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Mr. Richard Bowlds, 1630 Scott Street, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to
<br />block parry, on June 19, 1999. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and
<br />carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE LEBANON FROM INDIANA TO
<br />BROADWAY - NEIGHBORHOOD OUTREACH
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Ms. Tina Millins, 3615 North Michigan, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to
<br />neighborhood outreach, on June 12, 1999. Upon a motion made by Mr. Powell, seconded by Ms.
<br />Roemer and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE PARKOVASH FROM LAFAYETTE TO
<br />IROQUOIS - BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. 'Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Mr. Paul Piller, 331 Parkovash, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to block party
<br />on July 25, 1999. Upon a motion made by Mr. Powell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the
<br />recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL, OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE CALIFORNIA FROM HARRISON TO
<br />SHERMAN - BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Ms. Debra Swanson, 1004 California, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to block
<br />party, on July 3, 1999. Upon a motion made by Mr. Powell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried,
<br />the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE MANITOU FROM PARK AVENUE TO
<br />FOREST AVENUE - NEIGHBORHOOD YARD SALE
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Mr. Stan Molenda, 622 Park Avenue, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to
<br />neighborhood yard sale, on June 26, 1999. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mr.
<br />Powell and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE DORi�VOOD FROM OAK RIDGE TO THE
<br />DEAD END - ICE CREAM SOCIAL
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable . recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Mr. Keith Jackson, 1622 Oak Park Drive, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to
<br />ice cream social, on July 20, 1999. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Powell
<br />and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVE CONSENT TO ANNEXATION AND WAIVER OF RIGHTS TO REMONSTRATE
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that the Board is in receipt of a Consent to Annexation and Waiver of Right to
<br />Remonstrate'as submitted by Ms. Patricia Vaughn. The Consent indicates that in consideration for
<br />permission to tap into the public sanitary sewer system of the City, to provide sanitary sewer service
