REGULAR MEETING k 2. That upon receipt of fully executed quitclaim deed(s) to the Real Property from Commission, the Clerk of the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana is hereby authorized and directed to cause the recording of said quitclaim deed(s) in the Office of the St. Joseph County Recorder. 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect upon its adoption. ADOPTED at a meeting of the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana held on May 3, 1999, at 1308 County -City Building, 227 West Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend; Indiana 46601. Jacob, Clerk APPROVAL OF AUTHORIZATION FROM ENTRY UPON.PUBLIC PROPERTY FOR HOME CONSTRUCTION Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the Authorization from Entry upon Public Property for Home Construction was approved. Mr. Marco Mariani, Planning Department, was present, and stated that this documents authorizes entry onto public property for American Home Dreams to perform construction. APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - GARBAGE AND RUBBISH SERVICE Mr. Caldwell stated that the following Garbage and Rubbish Service application has been received: NAME: Himco Waste Away Service, Inc. ADDRESS: 707 North Wildwood, Elkhart, Indiana Mr. Caldwell further advised that a favorable recommendation has been received by the Department of Code Enforcement concerning this application. Further, the Bureau of Sanitation has inspected the vehicle(s) to be used in conjunction with this business, and has found them to be satisfactory. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the above license application was approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance of a license. APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - 1999 STREET MATERIALS In a memorandum to the Board, Ms. Deb Martin, Division of Engineering, requested permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to materials. Ms. Martin stated that this project will furnish materials for the Bureau of Streets. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Powell, seconded by Ms. Roemer.and carried, the request to advertise for the receipt of bids was approved. APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - SOUTHEAST NEIGHBORHOOD REDEVELOPMENT - DEMOLITION AND CURB SIDEWALK -AND APPROACH IMPROVEMENTS - PROJECT NO. 99-12-1 In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl Littrell, City Engineer, requested permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the request to advertise for the receipt of bids was approved. TABLE RECOMMENDATION - PETITION TO VACATE VARIOUS ALLEYS Mr. Caldwell indicated that the Common Council has submitted to the Board a Vacation Petition as completed by Mr. Anthony Zappia, 52582 U.S. 31 North, South Bend, Indiana to vacate the following alley(s):
