<br />by Ms. Roemer and carried, the request was approved.
<br />APPROVE CONSENT TO ANNEXATION AND WAIVER OF RIGHTS TO REMONSTRATE
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that the Board is in receipt of a Consent to Annexation and Waiver of Right to
<br />Remonstrate as submitted by Cloverleaf Farms, South Bend, Indiana. The Consent indicates that in
<br />consideration for permission to tap into the public sanitary sewer system of the City, to provide
<br />sanitary sewer service to Key Number 02-1015-030515, South Bend, Indiana, (Key # 02-1015-
<br />030515), Cloverleaf Farms waive and release any and all right to remonstrate against or oppose any
<br />pending or future annexation of the property by the City of South Bend. Therefore, Ms. Roemer
<br />made a motion that the Consent be approved. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried.

<br />for permission to tap into the public sanitary sewer system of the City, to provide sanitary sewer
<br />service to 52493 Leland Road, South Bend, Indiana, (Key # 02-1092-4349), Al Bayman Homes
<br />waive and release any and all right to remonstrate against or oppose any pending or future annexation
<br />of the property by the City of South Bend. Therefore, Ms. Roemer made a motion that the Consent
<br />be approved. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried.
<br />APPROVE CONSENT TO ANNEXATION AND WAIVER OF RIGHTS TO REMONSTRATE

<br />that in consideration for permission to tap into the public sanitary sewer system of the City, to provide
<br />sanitary sewer service to Cypress Circle South, South Bend, Indiana, (Key # 02-1015-031215), the
<br />Jonas' waive and release any and all right to remonstrate against or oppose any pending or future
<br />annexation of the property by the City of South Bend. Therefore, Ms. Roemer made a motion that
<br />the Consent be approved. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried.
<br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES
<br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the following traffic
<br />control devices were approved:

<br />requirements

<br />requirements
<br />APPROVE CLAIMS
<br />Ms. M. Catherine Roemer, City Controller, submitted claims in the amount of $1,677,891.15 and
<br />recommended approval. In addition, Mr. Kenneth Szulczyk, Housing Consortium, submitted claims
<br />and recommended approval. Further, Ms. Cleo Hickey, Morris Performing Arts Center, submitted
<br />claims and recommended approval. Ms. Roemer made a motion that the claims be approved and the
<br />reports as submitted be filed. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried.
<br />PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR
<br />The Clerk advised Board Members that the Fraternal Order of Police, South Bend Lodge No. 36, has
<br />extended an invitation to join them at their annual tribute and memorial service to those police officers
<br />who have lost their lives in the line on duty, on May 10, 1999, at 3:00 p.m., at the Municipal Services
<br />Facility. Mr. Carl Littrell, City Engineer, was present, and stated that in addition, the Police
<br />Department would like to close Sample Street for the twenty (20) minute dedication. Mr. Caldwell
<br />asked Mr. Littrell to finalize these plans. In addition, Mr. Carl Littrell stated that the quotations
<br />which were tabled for the Southeast Neighborhood Redevelopment Demolition Project will be
<br />returned to the contractors. Engineering will solicit quotations at a later date.
