REGULAR MEETING MARCH 15, 1999 APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION TO CONDUCT "WORLD WIDE MARCH FOR JESUS" - MARCH FOR JESUS Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering, Police Department, Park Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Ellen Stanley, March for Jesus, Post Office Box 1573, Mishawaka, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to march, on May 22, 1999, on the designated route as submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr. Powell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the recommendation was approved. APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT NEIGHBORHOOD STREET FAIR Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted �o by Mr. Charles Lavely, St. Patrick Church, 309 South Taylor, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to street fair, on Wayne from Taylor to Scott, on August 14, 1999. Upon a motion made by Mr. Powell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the recommendation was approved. APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATIONS - PUBLIC PARKING FACILITY Upon a motion made by Mr. Powell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the following license ' applications were approved: Center City Associates 100 North Michigan Center City Associates 300 South Michigan Cathedral Church of St. James 307-311 West Washington Witmer-McNease Music Co. 420 South Main Memorial Home Care 707 North Michigan Memorial Home Care 621 Memorial Drive Ampco System Parking 220 East Wayne Ampco System Parking 120 North Main Ampco System Parking 123 N. St. Joseph Ampco System Parking 119 West Wayne Ampco System Parking 211 North Lafayette Ampco System Parking 214-216 West Wayne Ampco System Parking 123 North Main Ampco System Parking 322 South Lafayette The above licence applications were approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance of a license. It was noted that the required Proofs of Insurance as well as the hours and rates to be charged were attached to the applications. APPROVAL OF LICENSE APPLICATIONS FOR RUBBISH AND GARBAGE REMOVAL SERVICE Mr. Caldwell stated that the Board is in receipt of favorable recommendations from the Department of Code Enforcement for aLicense Applications for Rubbish and Garbage Removal Service. It was noted that the Bureau of Sanitation has inspected the vehicles to be used in conjunction with these businesses, and have found them to be satisfactory.
