<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the above bids were
<br />referred to the Department of Code Enforcement for review and recommendation.
<br />AWARD BID - BIOSOLIDS TRUCKING - 1999
<br />Mr. Jack Dillon, Director, Environmental Services, advised the Board that on December 21, 1998,
<br />bids were received and opened for the above referred to service. After reviewing those bids, Mr.
<br />Dillon recommends that the Board award the contract to Klink Trucking, Inc., Post Office Box 428,
<br />Ashley, Indiana in the amount of $62.50/Hour Monday through Friday and $68.75/Hour on
<br />Saturdays. Therefore, Mr. Powell made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid
<br />be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried.

<br />Mr. Caldwell advised that Mr. Dave Mankowski, Calumet Construction, 3215 Sugar Maple Court,
<br />South Bend, Indiana, has submitted Change Order No. 3-03.70.3 on behalf of Casteel Construction,
<br />23186 West Ireland Road, South Bend, Indiana, indicating that the Contract amount be increased
<br />$12,738.38 for a new Contract sum including this Change Order in the amount of $1,779,575.18.
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the Change Order was
<br />approved.
<br />APPROVE CHANGE ORDER - LEIGHTON PLAZA - GENERAL CONSTRUCTION - PROJECT

<br />Mr. Caldwell advised that Mr. Dave Mankowski, Calumet Construction, 3215 Sugar Maple Court,
<br />%South Bend, Indiana, has submitted Change Order No. 3-06.50-3 on behalf of Casteel Construction,
<br />23186 West Ireland Road, South Bend, Indiana, indicating that the Contract amount be deceased
<br />$37,402.28 for a new Contract sum including this Change Order in the amount of $905,523.72.
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the Change Order was
<br />approved.

<br />South Bend, Indiana, has submitted Change Order No. 3-15.20-2 on behalf of McDaniel Fire
<br />Systems, 53307 Ada Drive, Elkhart, Indiana, indicating that the Contract amount be increased
<br />$1,482.00 for a new Contract sum including this Change Order in the amount of $168,068.00. Upon
<br />a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the Change Order was
<br />approved.

<br />Mr. Caldwell advised that Mr. Dave Mankowski, Calumet Construction, 3215 Sugar Maple Court,
<br />South Bend, Indiana, has submitted Change Order No. 3-06.50-4 on behalf of Casteel Construction,
<br />23186 West Ireland, South Bend, Indiana, indicating that the Contract amount be increased
<br />.� $8,268.00 for a new Contract sum including this Change Order in the amount of $913,791.72. Upon
<br />a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the Change Order was
<br />approved.
<br />APPROVE CHANGE ORDER - NORTH PUMPING STATION - PROJECT NO. 98-92
<br />Mr. Caldwell advised that Mr. Toy Villa, Public Construction Manager, has submitted Change Order
<br />�/No. 1 on behalf of North America Construction, 2249 Mahogany Way, Eagan, Minnesota indicating
<br />that the Contract amount be decreased $1,691.00 for a new Contract sum including this Change
<br />Order in the amount of $6,004,676.00. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms.
<br />Roemer and carried, the Change Order was approved.
