REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 27, 2000 <br />ADOPT RESOLUTION NO 117-2000 - TRANSFER OF PROPERTY FROM DISSOLVED <br />NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSING SERVICE OF SOUTH BEND INC. TO CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the following Resolution <br />was adopted by the Board of Public Works: <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board ofPublic Works that the following property <br />is hereby transferred by the dissolved Neighborhood Housing Service of South Bend, Ind. (NHS) to <br />the City of South Bend: <br />Lot numbered Two Hundred Seventy-nine (279) as shown on the Third Plat of Park Place, <br />an Addition to the City of South Bend, excepting therefrom a lot or parcel of land 5 feet in width, <br />North and South, taken off of and from the entire width of the South end thereof, theretofore <br />conveyed to the City of South Bend, for street purposes. <br />Commonly known as 1239 Campeau Street, South Bend, Indiana. <br />WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-1-11-8 permits and establishes procedure for transfer of real <br />property from one governmental unit to another. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board ofPublic Works ofthe City of South <br />Bend that the item listed above is no longer needed by the NHS and ownership should be transferred <br />to the City of South Bend. <br />ADOPTED this 27`" day of November, 2000. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />s/Gary A Gilot, President <br />s/M. Inks, Member <br />ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 119-2000 - ACCEPTING THE TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY <br />FROM THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the following Resolution <br />was adopted by the Board of Public Works: <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Indiana, Department of Redevelopment ("City") is the <br />owner ofthe real property and improvements described situated in the City of South Bend, St. Joseph <br />County, Indiana ("Property"): <br />Lot lettered "A" as shown on the recorded Plat of Leighton Plaza Re -plat of the City of South <br />Bend Original Plat recorded June 15, 1999 as Document Number 9927350 in the Office of <br />the Recorder of St. Joseph County, Indiana. <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to I.C. 36-7-14-3, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />("Redevelopment Commission") is the governing body of the City of South Bend, Department of <br />Redevelopment and, pursuant to I.C. 36-7-14-12.2 and I.C. 36-1-11-8 may dispose of the Property; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Redevelopment, through the Commission, is desirous of transferring the Real <br />Property to the City of South Bend, Indiana, Board of Public Works ("Board"); and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to I.C. 36-1-11-8, Redevelopment, acting through the Commission and <br />the City, acting by and through the Board, may exchange or transfer property with one another upon <br />'terms and conditions agreed upon by the two (2) entities as evidenced by the adoption of substantially <br />ident;.cal resolution of each entity; and <br />
