3� . <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />OCTOBER 9, 2000 <br />PUBLIC HEARING -APPLICATION FOR TRANSIENT MERCHANT LICENSE - CHRISTMAS <br />TREE SALES <br />Mr. Gilot advised that this was the date set for the Board's Public Hearing concerning a Transient <br />Merchant License, as submitted by Mr. Charles Homier, 601 East Lamont Road, Huntington, Indiana, <br />to conduct the sale of tools, housewares, and general merchandise November 23 through 25, 2000, <br />at the Armed Forces Reserve Center in South Bend. It was noted that favorable recommendations <br />have been received by the Police Department, Building Department and Fire Department. <br />There being no one present wishing to address the Board concerning this matter, the Public Hearing <br />was closed. <br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Gilot and carried, the Transient <br />Merchant License was approved. <br />OPENING/AWARD OF QUOTATIONS - CENTURY CENTER DRAPERY MATERIAL - <br />PROJECT NO. 100-86 <br />Mr. Gilot advised that this was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed Quotations for <br />the above referred to materials. The following Quotation was opened and read: <br />MICHAELANGELOS <br />3371 Cleveland Road <br />South Bend, Indiana 46628 <br />Quotation was submitted by Mr. Michael Bernacchi <br />QUOTATION: <br />One (1) Roll Came - 76 yards <br />$1,140.00 <br />Six (6) Bolts Naturale - 90 yards <br />$1,350.00 <br />One (1) Roll, 3 bolts Cobolt, 121 Yards <br />$1,815.00 <br />Three (3) Bolts, 45 yards Canard, 45 yards <br />$ 675.00 <br />Three (3) Bolts, 45 yards Cipria <br />$ 675.00 <br />Six (6) Bolts, 90 yards Visone <br />$1,350.00 <br />Three (3) Bolts, 45 yards Titanium <br />$ 675.00 <br />One (1) Roll, 76 yards Cardinal <br />$1,140.00 <br />Subtotal <br />$8,820.00 <br />5% freight <br />$ 441.00 <br />TOTAL <br />$9,261.00 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the above Quotations were <br />referred to the Century Center for review and recommendation. <br />After reviewing those bids, Mr. Gene Mikolajewski, Century Center, recommended that the Board <br />award the contract to Michelangelos in the amount of $9,261.00. Therefore, Mr. Gilot made a <br />motion that the recommendation be accepted and the quotation be awarded as outlined above. Mr. <br />Inks seconded the motion which carried. <br />OPENING OF QUOTATIONS - REMODELING OF BOX OFFICE - MORRIS PERFORMING <br />ARTS CENTER - PROJECT NO. 100-85 <br />Mr. Gilot advised that this was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed Quotations for <br />the above referred to project.
