REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 9, 2000 PUBLIC HEARING -APPLICATION FOR TRANSIENT MERCHANT LICENSE - CHRISTMAS TREE SALES Mr. Gilot advised that this was the date set for the Board's Public Hearing concerning a Transient Merchant License, as submitted by Mr. Charles Homier, 601 East Lamont Road, Huntington, Indiana, to conduct the sale of tools, housewares, and general merchandise November 23 through 25, 2000, at the Armed Forces Reserve Center in South Bend. It was noted that favorable recommendations have been received by the Police Department, Building Department and Fire Department. There being no one present wishing to address the Board concerning this matter, the Public Hearing was closed. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Gilot and carried, the Transient Merchant License was approved. OPENING/AWARD OF QUOTATIONS - CENTURY CENTER DRAPERY MATERIAL - PROJECT NO. 100-86 Mr. Gilot advised that this was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed Quotations for the above referred to materials. The following Quotation was opened and read: MICHAELANGELOS 3371 Cleveland Road South Bend, Indiana 46628 Quotation was submitted by Mr. Michael Bernacchi QUOTATION: One (1) Roll Came - 76 yards $1,140.00 Six (6) Bolts Naturale - 90 yards $1,350.00 One (1) Roll, 3 bolts Cobolt, 121 Yards $1,815.00 Three (3) Bolts, 45 yards Canard, 45 yards $ 675.00 Three (3) Bolts, 45 yards Cipria $ 675.00 Six (6) Bolts, 90 yards Visone $1,350.00 Three (3) Bolts, 45 yards Titanium $ 675.00 One (1) Roll, 76 yards Cardinal $1,140.00 Subtotal $8,820.00 5% freight $ 441.00 TOTAL $9,261.00 Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the above Quotations were referred to the Century Center for review and recommendation. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Gene Mikolajewski, Century Center, recommended that the Board award the contract to Michelangelos in the amount of $9,261.00. Therefore, Mr. Gilot made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the quotation be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Inks seconded the motion which carried. OPENING OF QUOTATIONS - REMODELING OF BOX OFFICE - MORRIS PERFORMING ARTS CENTER - PROJECT NO. 100-85 Mr. Gilot advised that this was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed Quotations for the above referred to project.
