<br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the Building Block Grant
<br />Agreements were approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF PROPOSAL - COST ESTIMATES FOR AC UISITION OF PRIVATE
<br />PROPERTY FOR DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS - APPRAISAL GROUP
<br />Ms. Roemer stated that the Board is in receipt of a Proposal between the City of South Bend and
<br />Appraisal Group, 922 East Jefferson, South Bend, Indiana. Ms. Roemer noted that the Proposal is
<br />in the amount of $2,500.00. Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Inks
<br />and carried, the Proposal was approved and executed.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT NATIONAL NIGHT OUT AGAINST
<br />CRIME WALK - RIVER PARK NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering,
<br />Park Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as
<br />submitted by Mr. Harold Kerns, 2214 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above
<br />referred to walk, on August 1, 2000, beginning at 6:30 p.m., on the designated route as submitted.
<br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was
<br />approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT WALK FOR HOSPICE
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering,
<br />Park Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as
<br />submitted by Mr. Tom Gerard, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above
<br />referred to walk on October 8, 2000, beginning at 1:00 p.m., on the designated route as submitted.
<br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was
<br />approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - BROOKFIELD FROMLINDEN
<br />TO ORANGE - BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering,
<br />Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms.
<br />Verline Wilson, 220 North Brookfield, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to block
<br />party on August 12, 2000, from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer,
<br />seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT AIDS WALK
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering,
<br />Park Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as
<br />submitted by Ms. Diana Clausen, AIDS Ministries, Post Office Box 4531, South Bend, Indiana to
<br />conduct the above referred to walk, on September 17, 2000, beginning at 10:00 a.m., on the
<br />designated route as submitted. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Inks and
<br />carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - TAYLOR FROM
<br />LINCOLNWAY WEST TO MADISON - ANNUAL PARTY
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering,
<br />Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Diane
<br />Pietrowski, 501 Lincolnway West, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to block party
