<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - BERTRAND FROM FREMONT
<br />TO MEADE
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering,
<br />Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms.
<br />Joanna James, 2526 Bertrand Street, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to block
<br />party on July 28, 2000, from 1:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer,
<br />seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION FOR UTILITY AND DRAINAGE EASEMENT
<br />VACATION - CANTERBURY WOODS, LOT 1
<br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl Littrell, City Engineer, requested the vacation of the utility
<br />and drainage easements on the property at Lot 1, Canterbury Woods, as well as a legal description
<br />of the same referenced property. There are currently no city utilities in this easement. Upon a motion
<br />made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLO SE STREET - 700 BLOCK ELMER - FAMILY
<br />REUNION
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering,
<br />Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms.
<br />Carolyn Moore, 713 North Elmer, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to event on
<br />July 28, 2000, from 6:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by
<br />Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - PARKOVASH FROM
<br />HILLCREST TO LAFAYETTE - BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering,
<br />Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. Al
<br />Kirsits, 722 Marquette, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to block party on July
<br />30, 2000, from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Ms. Roemer
<br />and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF DEED OF DEDICATION
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, a Deed of Dedication for
<br />6025 Miami Road, South Bend, Indiana, was approved. It was noted the Deed of Dedication is in
<br />conjunction with the installation of the sanitary sewer project along Miami Road.
<br />APPROVE CONTRACTOR AND EXCAVATION BONDS
<br />Mr. Anthony Molnar, Engineer, Division of Engineering, recommended that the following
<br />Contractors and Excavation Bonds be approved as follows:

<br />Approved Effective July 24, 2000

<br />Mr. Gilot made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and that the Bonds be approved as
<br />outlined above. Ms. Roemer seconded the motion which carried.
<br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the following traffic control
<br />devices were approved:
