REGULAR MEETING MAY 15, 2000 request as submitted by Ms. Mikki Dobski, Community Affairs, to conduct the above referred to rally and march on May 21, 2000, beginning at 1:45 p.m. on the designated route as submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the recommendation was approved. APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - BERGAN FROM FREMONT TO MEADE- GRADUATION PARTY Ms. Roemer stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Lillie Chandler, 2513 Bergan Street, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to celebration on June 3, 2000, from 5:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the recommendation was approved. APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - PARK LANE FROM LAFAYETTE BOULEVARD TO MAIN STREET - MADISON SCHOOL ANNUAL ICE CREAM SOCIAL Ms. Roemer stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Susan Goldstein, 834 Lafayette Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to ice cream social on May 19, 2000, from 6:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m . Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the recommendation was approved. APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - DAYTON FROM MIAMI TO DALE - ST. MATTHEW SCHOOL FIELD DAY Ms. Roemer stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Mary Rotseck, St. Matthew School, 1015 East Dayton, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to event on June 6, 2000. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the recommendation was approved. APPROVAL OF SCRAP METAL DEALERS/JUNK DEALERS/RECYCLING OPERATIONS/TRANSFER STATIONS LICENSE APPLICATON Ms. Roemer stated that the following application has been received: Weaver Truck & Equipment 3605 South Gertrude Street South Bend, Indiana 46614 It was noted that favorable recommendations have been received by the Fire Department and the Department of Code Enforcement. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the License Application was approved. ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 71-2000 - APPROVAL OF THE ISSUANCE OF SCRAP METAL/JUNK DEALERS/RECYCLING OPERATIONS AND TRANSFER STATION LICENSE FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 2000 Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the following Resolution was adopted by the Board of Public Works: RESOLUTION NO. 71-2000 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE ISSUANCE OF SCRAP METAL/JUNK DEALERS/RECYCLING OPERATIONS AND TRANSFER STATION LICENSES FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 2000 WHEREAS, one (1) scrap metal/junk dealers/transfer stations license renewal application for the year 2000 has been received by the Board of Public Works; and
