u'T, <br />T.. <br />REGULAR MEETING APRIL 24, 2000 <br />APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT - NEIGHBORHOOD YOUTH GRANT PROGRAM - CHRIST <br />TEMPLE CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST <br />Ms. Roemer stated that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement between the City of South Bend and <br />the Christ Temple Church of God in Christ, 1212 South Michigan, South Bend, Indiana, for lodging <br />costs associated with a trip to Washington D.C. In August, 2000. Ms. Roemer noted that the <br />Agreement is in the amount of $1,800.00. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded <br />by Mr. Inks and carried, the Agreement was approved and executed. <br />APPROVE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT -ENTERPRISE DRIVE EXTENSION (LONE WOLF <br />DRIVE AND EAGLE WAY) - PROJECT NO. 100-016 <br />Ms. Roemer advised that in accordance with the bid awarded on April 10, 2000, to Small, Inc., 25190 <br />State Road 4, North Liberty, Indiana, in the amount of $407,395.85 for the above referred to project, <br />a Contract in said amount was being submitted for Board approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the Contract was approved and the appropriate Certificate <br />of Insurance, Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond as submitted were filed. <br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO TEMPORARILY CHANGE STREET SIGNS FOR MONDAY, <br />APRIL 24, 2000 <br />In a letter to the Board, Mayor Stephen J. Luecke requested permission to temporarily change the <br />street signs for Monday, April 24, 2000, at the following locations: <br />Dyngus Day - Ford/Warren <br />Solidarity Day - 1001 West Western <br />Mayor Luecke stated that these sign changes are in recognition of the Dyngus and Solidarity Day <br />celebration of the ethnic heritage, friendship and fellowship of our community. Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the request was approved. <br />WITHDRAW PETITION TO VACATE PROPERTY <br />Ms. Roemer indicated that the Common Council has submitted to the Board a Vacation Petition as <br />completed by Ms. Tamara Sexton, 511 West Colfax, South Bend, Indiana to vacate the following <br />alley: <br />Part of the first east/west alley north of Colfax Avenue, from the west right of way of the first <br />north south alley west of William Street to the west right of way of William Street, a distance <br />of approximately 395 feet and a width of 14 feet, located in the Miller's subdivision of Bank <br />Outlots 8 and 9, in South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana. <br />Ms. Tamara Sexton submitted a letter to the Board withdrawing this petition. Therefore, upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the petition was withdrawn at the <br />request of the petitioner. <br />FAVORABLE RECOMMENDATION - PETITION TO VACATE PROPERTY <br />Ms. Roemer indicated that the Common Council has submitted to the Board a Vacation Petition as <br />completed by James Jasiewicz, South Bend Community School Corporation, 635 South Main, South <br />Bend, Indiana to vacate the following property: <br />The first street to be vacated is the east half of Eclipse Place from the south right of <br />way of Keller Street to the south right of way of Marquette Boulevard, a distance of <br />672.6 feet and a width of 30 feet. Part located in the Vernon Heights Add., South <br />Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana. The second street to be vacated is Keller Street <br />from the east right of way of Eclipse Place to the west right of way of Kaley Street <br />for a distance of 280.5 feet and a width of 50 feet. Part located in Vernon Heights <br />Add., South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana. The alley to be vacated is the first <br />north/south alley west of Kaley Street from the north right of way of Keller Street to <br />the south right of way of Marquette Boulevard for a distance of 622.6 feet and a <br />width of 14 feet. Part located in the Vernon Heights Add., South Bend, St. Joseph <br />County, Indiana. <br />
