REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 24, 2001 <br />of the City, to provide sanitary sewer service to the north side of Jewel Avenue east of U.S. 31 <br />South, South Bend, Indiana, (Key # 01-1017-0338), the Sextons waive and release any and all right <br />to remonstrate against or oppose any pending or future annexation of the property by the City of <br />South Bend. Therefore, Mr. Inks made a motion that the Consent be approved. Mr. Littrell <br />seconded the motion which carried. <br />ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 67-2001- DISPOSAL OF UNFIT AND/OR OBSOLETE PROPERTY <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the following Resolution was <br />adopted by the Board of Public Works: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 67-2001 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />ON DISPOSAL OF UNFIT AND/OR OBSOLETE PROPERTY <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board of Public Works that the following property is <br />unfit for the purpose for which it was intended and is no longer needed by the City of South Bend: <br />ONE (1) MODEL 920, SERIAL NO. QU75ASN <br />ION ANALYZER <br />WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-1-11-6© permits and establishes procedure for disposal of <br />personal property which is unfit for the purpose for which it was intended and which is no longer <br />needed by the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of the City of South <br />Bend that the item listed above is no longer needed by the City; is unfit for the purpose for which <br />it was intended and has an estimated value of less than five thousand dollars ($5,000.00). <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said item may be transferred or sold at public auction <br />or private sale, without advertising. However, if the property is deemed worthless, such may be <br />demolished or junked. <br />ADOPTED this 20`h Day of December 2001. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />s/Carl P. Jacob, Clerk <br />ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 68-2001 - UNCOLLECTIBLE AMBULANCE OUTSTANDING <br />ACCOUNTS <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the following Resolution was <br />adopted by the Board of Public Works: <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, through Emergency Medical Services Department, <br />charged the persons listed on the attached documents for ambulance services; and <br />WHEREAS, the charges have not been paid to the City of South Bend after at least three <br />notices were sent to the person who received the services; and <br />WHEREAS, CBM Accounts Service, Inc. has made very attempt to collect the <br />aforementioned charges, and has not been successful; and <br />WHEREAS, the Indiana State Board of Accounts has instructed the City to write off all <br />uncollectible accounts after every attempt to collect them has been made; and <br />
