<br />APPROVE ADDENDUM NO. 1 - RIVERSIDE DRIVE MULTIPLE USE PATH - THE TROYER
<br />GROUP
<br />Mr. Littrell advised that submitted to the Board for approval is Addendum No. 1 for the above
<br />referred to project. Mr. Carl Littrell, City Engineer, advised that this Addendum will begin the
<br />preliminary design phase as authorized in the original contract, and is in the amount of $148,600.00.
<br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the Addendum
<br />was approved and executed.
<br />APPROVAL OF "PILOT PROGRAM" AGREEMENT - FEASIBILITY TEST OF USING
<br />UNIFORM CONTAINERS FOR TRASH COLLECTION - TOTER INCORPORATED
<br />Mr. Littrell stated that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement between the City of South Bend and
<br />Toter Corporation for the above referred to program. Mr. Littrell noted that the Agreement is in the
<br />amount of $60,000.00. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and
<br />carried, the Agreement was approved and executed.
<br />APPROVE INITIATIVE AGREEMENTS - AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
<br />The following After School Program Initiative Agreements were presented to the Board for approval:
<br />Boys & Girls Club of St. Joseph County $3,399.00
<br />M.W.B.D.C. $1,340.00
<br />Grace Christian Church & Evangelistic Outreach $3,000.00
<br />Edison Middle School $2,500.00
<br />South Bend Junior Academy $3,000.00
<br />Riley High School $ 760.00
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the above referred to
<br />Agreements were approved and executed.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO ENCROACH ONTO PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY -
<br />INSTALLATION OF AWNING- 3003 SOUTH MIAMI - "SUGAR AND SPICE"
<br />Mr. Littrell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Fire Department, Building Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's
<br />office, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. Jack Petske,17401 Eldorado Lane, South Bend,
<br />Indiana, for the installation of an awning at the above referred to address. Upon a motion made by
<br />Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved, subject to being
<br />made revocable.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO ENCROACH ONTO PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY -
<br />INSTALLATION OF AWNING/SIGNAGE- 1148 WESTERN - "ANTIQUES/RELICS"
<br />Mr. Littrell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Fire Department, Building Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's
<br />office, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. Paul Hayden, 1148 Western Avenue, South
<br />Bend, Indiana, for the installation of an awning at the above referred to address. Upon a motion
<br />made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved, subject
<br />to being made revocable.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO ENCROACH ONTO PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY -
<br />INSTALLATION OF AWNING- 2212 SOUTH MIAMI - "KRIS'S KOUNTRY KITCHEN"
<br />Mr. Littrell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Fire Department, Building Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's
<br />office, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. Matthew O'Donnell, 2214 Miami, Indiana, for
<br />the installation of an awning at the above referred to address. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell,
<br />seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved, subject to being made
<br />revocable.
<br />APPROVE CONSENT TO ANNEXATION AND WAIVER OF RIGHTS TO REMONSTRATE
<br />Mr. Littrell stated that the Board is in receipt of a Consent to Annexation and Waiver of Right to
<br />Remonstrate as submitted by Mr. and Mrs. Sexton, 20339 Jewel Avenue, South Bend, Indiana. The
<br />Consent indicates that in consideration for permission to tap into the public sanitary sewer system
