- W ::E} <br />Q Ou, <br />1 <br />�I <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />OCTOBER 8, 2001 <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE VARIOUS STREETS - 2002 "SUMMER <br />IN THE CITY" FESTIVAL <br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering, <br />Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. <br />Teresa McClure, South Bend Park Department, to conduct the above referred to festival on Niles <br />from Jefferson to Washington; Washington from Niles to Hill; and Hill from Washington to <br />Jefferson on June 13 through June 16, 2002. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. <br />Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION -LICENSE APPLICATION -TRANSIENT MERCHANT <br />LICENSE - MIAMI VILLAGE FALL FESTIVAL <br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Fire Department, <br />Building Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as <br />submitted by Ms. Angela Furore, Community & Economic Development, for the Miami Village <br />Association to conduct the above referred to festival on October 7, 2001, from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 <br />p.m., on Miami Street from Calvert to Ewing. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. <br />Littrell and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the following traffic control <br />devices were approved: <br />New Installation - Handicapped <br />2110 Bertrand <br />Ms. Lathan has met all <br />Accessible Parking Space Signs <br />requirements. <br />New Installation - Handicapped <br />418 East Bowman <br />Mr. Freeman has met all <br />Accessible Parking Space Signs <br />requirements. <br />New Installation - Handicapped <br />18,12 South Chapin <br />Ms. Horth has met all <br />Accessible Parking Space Signs <br />requirements. <br />New Installation - Handicapped <br />2610 West Colfax <br />Ms. McNary has met all <br />Accessible Parking Space Signs <br />requirements. <br />New Installation - Handicapped <br />823 North Olive <br />Ms. Cobb has met all <br />Accessible Parking Space Signs <br />requirements. <br />New Installation - No Parking, Notre <br />Rosemary Lane, <br />Cars parking in yards of <br />Dame Home Games <br />Edison to Peach <br />neighborhoods. <br />Tree Lane <br />New Installation - Handicapped <br />1603 Florence <br />Ms. Weymon has met all <br />Accessible Parking Space Signs <br />requirements. <br />New Installation - Handicapped <br />1805 South <br />Ms. Abcregg has met all <br />Accessible Parking Space Signs <br />Douglas <br />requirements. <br />New Installation - No Parking, Notre <br />Jacob Street from <br />Request from businesses to <br />Dame Home Games <br />South Bend <br />have Jacob posted. <br />Avenue to Dead <br />End, Both Sides <br />FILING OF SAFETY REPORTS - DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />The Division of Engineering, Water Works and Central Services submitted Safety Reports for <br />September 2001. These reports will reflect injuries/accidents for each month and provide for a <br />comparison. There being no further discussion, upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. <br />Inks and carried, the reports were accepted and filed. <br />FILING OF MONTHLY REPORT - WATER WORKS <br />Mr. John Stancati, Director of Water Works, submitted a monthly report for the Division of Water <br />Works for the month of September 2001.
