REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 8, 2001 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 9:35 a.m. on Monday, October <br />8, 2001, by Board President Gary A. Gilot, with Mr. Carl P. Littrell and Mr. Donald E'°inim-present. <br />Also present was Board Attorney Thomas Bodnar. <br />AGENDA ITEMS ADDED <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the following items were <br />added to the agenda: <br />- Award Bid - Leeper Park/Riverside Drive -Parking Improvements <br />- Award Bid - Miami Street/Indiana Avenue Intersection Improvements <br />- Consent to Annexation and Waiver of Right to Remonstrate <br />- Claims, City of South Bend <br />PUBLIC HEARING - APPLICATION FOR TRANSIENT MERCHANT LICENSE - SALE OF <br />CHRISTMAS TREES - CENTRE TOWNSHIP LIONS <br />Mr. Gilot advised that this was the date set for the Board's Public Hearing concerning an Application <br />for a Transient Merchant License, as submitted by Mr. Howard Jones, 26750 Quinn Road, North <br />Liberty, Indiana, to conduct the sale of Christmas trees November 24 through December 24, 2001, <br />in the Scottsdale Mall parking lot. It was noted that favorable recommendations were received, <br />the Police Department, Fire Department, Building Department and the Legal Department. <br />There being no one present wishing to address the Board concerning this matter, the Public-1;ng <br />was closed. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried;`the' <br />Application for a Transient Merchant License was approved. <br />OPENING OF QUOTATIONS - MIAMI VILLAGE PARK - PHASE I - PROJECT NO. 101-055 <br />Mr. Gilot advised that this was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed Quotations for <br />the above referred to project. The following Quotations were opened and read: <br />RIETH RILEY CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC. <br />Post Office Box 1775 <br />South Bend, Indiana 46634 <br />Quotation was submitted by Mr. Mark Nagle <br />QUOTATION: $65,109.00 <br />PAUL BLUM NURSERY <br />345 South Sunnyside <br />South Bend, Indiana 46615 <br />Quotation was submitted by Mr. Paul Blum <br />QUOTATION: $57,830.00 <br />PIONEER ASSOCIATES, INC. <br />Post Office Box 145 <br />Leo, Indiana 46765 <br />Quotation was submitted by Ms. Kathy Jones <br />QUOTATION: $45,900.00 <br />AQUA LAWN <br />Post Office Box 4208 <br />Elkhart, Indiana 46514 <br />Quotation was submitted by Mr. Mike Kallimani <br />QUOTATION: $34,740.00 <br />
