<br />Eddie Miller, Faith Apostolic Church,1318 Lincolnway West, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the
<br />above referred to event on August 11, 2001, from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Upon a motion made
<br />by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Gilot and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - MICHIGAN STREET FROM
<br />COLFAX TO DRIVEWAY INTO PARKING LOT AT LASALLE BUILDING - "FRIDAYS BY
<br />THE FOUNTAIN" CONCERT AT MORRIS PERFORMING ARTS CENTER
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering,
<br />Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms.
<br />Susan Halteman, Morris Performing Arts Center, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred
<br />to event on August 17, 2001, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded
<br />by Mr. Gilot and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - PARKOVASH FROM
<br />HILLCREST TO LAFAYETTE - BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering,
<br />Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. Al
<br />Kirsits, 722 Marquette, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to block party on August
<br />26, 2001, from 1:00 p.m. until 5 :00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Gilot
<br />and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATIONS - GARBAGE AND RUBBISH SERVICE
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that the following Garbage and Rubbish Service applications have been received:
<br />NAME: City of South Bend Solid Waste Department
<br />ADDRESS: 3113 Riverside Drive
<br />NAME: Clark's Trash Removal
<br />ADDRESS: 2615 Kenwood Avenue
<br />Mr. Gilot further advised that a favorable recommendation has been received by the Department of
<br />Code Enforcement concerning these applications. Further, the Bureau of Sanitation has inspected
<br />the vehicle(s) to be used in conjunction with these businesses, and has found them to be satisfactory.
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the above license applications
<br />were approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance of a license.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION -TO ENCROACH ONTO PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY -
<br />INSTALLATION OF SIGN - 706 EAST JEFFERSON
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering,
<br />Building Department, Fire Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in
<br />reference to a request as submitted by Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kuharic, 706 East Jefferson, South Bend,
<br />Indiana, to install a sign at 706 East Jefferson. Upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr.
<br />Gilot and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF LICENSE APPLICATION - CARNIVAL/CIRCUS - GOOD TIME AMUS INC.
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering,
<br />Police Department, Code Enforcement, Fire Department, Building Department and the City
<br />Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. Don Williams, Post Office Box 316,
<br />Rolling Prairie, to conduct the above referred to circus/carnival on August 11 and 12, 2001, at
<br />Potowatomi Zoo. A Certificate of Insurance was received, but did not contain the Board of
<br />Parks/Park Commissioners or the City of South Bend as additional insured. In addition, the bodily
<br />injury and property damage amount was only $1,000.00 per claim. Upon a motion made by Mr.
<br />Gilot, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - JACKSON ROAD FROM
<br />YORK TO IRONWOOD - 2001 PULSEFEST
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering,
<br />Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. Mark
<br />Durocher, LeSEA Radio, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to event on August 18,
