REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 12, 2001 <br />WHEREAS the filing of Form 133 by Community Development in order to get certain of <br />these properties reassessed and on the verge of bidding and selling to adjacent landowners is in the <br />best interest of the City of South Bend and facilitates this process in a more orderly and timely <br />fashion; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works for the City of <br />South Bend, Indiana as follows: <br />1. The Board of Public Works shall assist Community Development by granting them <br />the authority to file Form 133, Petition for Correction of an Error, with the County <br />Auditor so as to seek reduction in property assessments and facilitate the sale of <br />certain of these parcels of land. <br />2. This Resolution will give Community Development the authority to proceed and <br />pursue Form 133 and reassessment of the property at the behest and of the interest <br />of adjacent landowners by their express notification to the City. <br />That the procedures and process laid out by Community Development in dealing with <br />the St. Joseph County Auditor with Form 133 and involvement with adjacent <br />landowners can be done so as to facilitate these transfers up to the point of final <br />Board of Public Works approval; <br />IT IS NOW RESOLVED that Community Development shall have the power to file Form <br />133, Petition for Correction of an Error, with the ST. Joseph County Auditor at the behest of <br />adjacent landowners and community projects so as to facilitate proper reassessment and timeliness <br />of land values so that the Board of Public Works will be in a position to approve and follow <br />guidelines for proper advertising and selling of these pieces of property in a timely manner and in the <br />best interest of the City. <br />ADOPTED at the meeting of the Board ofPublic Works, City of South Bend held on the 12' <br />day of February, 2001, at 1300 County City Building, 227 West Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend, <br />Indiana. <br />SOUTH BEND BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />s/Gary Gilot, President <br />s/M. Jacob, Clerk <br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - SOUTH SIDE <br />SANITARY SEWER AND WATER MAIN EXTENSION - PHASE II - PROJECT NO. 101-005 <br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl Littrell, City Engineer, requested permission to advertise <br />for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Mr. Littrell stated that this project will <br />consist of the construction of sanitary sewer extension and water main extension on the south side <br />of South Bend. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the <br />request to advertise for the receipt of bids was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - BIO-SOLIDS <br />TRUCKING - WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT <br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Ken Zmudzinski, Wastewater Treatment Plant, requested <br />permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to service. Mr. Zmudzinski <br />stated this service will truck bio-solids from Organic Resources to land application sites for 2001. <br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the request to <br />advertise for the receipt of bids was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS: <br />- EIGHT (8), MORE OR LESS 2001 3/4 TON TWO WHEEL DRIVE PICK-UP TRUCKS <br />- FOUR (4), MORE OR LESS 2001 3/4 TON FOUR WHEEL DRIVE PICK-UP TRUCKS <br />- FIVE 5), MORE OR LESS USED 2000 COMPACT FOUR DOOR SEDAN AUTOMOBILES <br />
