25 REGULAR MEETING BID: $1,194,136.82 SEPTEMBER 23, 2002 Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the above bids were referred to the Division of Engineering for review and recommendation. OPENING OF BIDS - SALE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY - 519 CAMDEN This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referred to property. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. No bids were received. OPENING OF BIDS - SALE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY - 1043 BURNS This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referred to property. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following bid was opened and publicly read: AAY'S RENTAL SALES & SERVICE 1129 South Bend Avenue South Bend, Indiana 46617 BID: $510.00 Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the above bid was referred to Community & Economic Development and the Legal Department for review and recommendation. OPENING OF PROPOSALS - DEBT COLLECTION SERVICES - PAST DUE AMBULANCE ACCOUNTS FOR 2002 Mr. Gilot advised that this was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed Proposals for the above referred to service. The following Proposals were opened and read: TRANSWORLD SYSTEMS INC. 211 West Washington, Suite 2120 South Bend, Indiana 46601 CREDIT BUREAU OF SOUTH BEND Post Office Box 1757 South Bend, Indiana 46634 CBM ACCOUNTS SERVICE, INC. 1320 Mishawaka Avenue South Bend, Indiana 46615 Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the above referred to Proposals were referred to the Fire Department for review and recommendation. APPROVAL OF ADDENDUM NO.3 - PORTAGE AVENUE IMPROVEMENTS - THE TROYER GROUP - PROJECT NO.98-74 Mr. Gilot stated the Board is in receipt of an Addendum between the City of South Bend and The Troyer Group, 550 Union Street, South Bend, Indiana, for engineering services for reconstruction of Portage Avenue from Lathrop Street to the Indiana Toll Road, for an increase of $66,000.00. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the Addendum was approved and executed. RATIFICATION OF PREVIOUSLY APPROVED ITEMS Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the following agenda items were ratified. It was noted these agenda items were approved by the Board of Public Works at the agenda session held on September 19, 2002.
