25 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />BID: $1,194,136.82 <br />SEPTEMBER 23, 2002 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the above bids were referred <br />to the Division of Engineering for review and recommendation. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - SALE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY - 519 CAMDEN <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referred to property. The <br />Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News <br />which were found to be sufficient. No bids were received. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - SALE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY - 1043 BURNS <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referred to property. The <br />Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News <br />which were found to be sufficient. The following bid was opened and publicly read: <br />AAY'S RENTAL SALES & SERVICE <br />1129 South Bend Avenue <br />South Bend, Indiana 46617 <br />BID: $510.00 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the above bid was referred to <br />Community & Economic Development and the Legal Department for review and recommendation. <br />OPENING OF PROPOSALS - DEBT COLLECTION SERVICES - PAST DUE AMBULANCE <br />ACCOUNTS FOR 2002 <br />Mr. Gilot advised that this was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed Proposals for the <br />above referred to service. The following Proposals were opened and read: <br />TRANSWORLD SYSTEMS INC. <br />211 West Washington, Suite 2120 <br />South Bend, Indiana 46601 <br />CREDIT BUREAU OF SOUTH BEND <br />Post Office Box 1757 <br />South Bend, Indiana 46634 <br />CBM ACCOUNTS SERVICE, INC. <br />1320 Mishawaka Avenue <br />South Bend, Indiana 46615 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the above referred to Proposals <br />were referred to the Fire Department for review and recommendation. <br />APPROVAL OF ADDENDUM NO.3 - PORTAGE AVENUE IMPROVEMENTS - THE TROYER <br />GROUP - PROJECT NO.98-74 <br />Mr. Gilot stated the Board is in receipt of an Addendum between the City of South Bend and The <br />Troyer Group, 550 Union Street, South Bend, Indiana, for engineering services for reconstruction <br />of Portage Avenue from Lathrop Street to the Indiana Toll Road, for an increase of $66,000.00. <br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the Addendum was <br />approved and executed. <br />RATIFICATION OF PREVIOUSLY APPROVED ITEMS <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the following agenda items <br />were ratified. It was noted these agenda items were approved by the Board of Public Works at the <br />agenda session held on September 19, 2002. <br />
