REGULAR MEETING JUNE 24, 2002 <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the minutes of the regular <br />meeting of the Board held on June 10, 2002 and a special meeting held on June 17, 2002 were <br />approved. <br />OPENING OF QUOTATIONS - MIAMI VILLAGE PARK - BRICKWORK AND STONEWORK - <br />PROJECT NO. 102-025 <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed quotations for the above referred to project. <br />The following quotations were opened and publicly read: <br />KASER SPRAKER CONSTRUCTION <br />25487 West State Road 2 <br />South Bend, Indiana 46619 <br />QUOTATION: $36,765.00 <br />RAMENDA MASONRY <br />54889 Lexington Avenue <br />South Bend, Indiana 46628 <br />QUOTATION: $68,280.00 <br />ZIOLKOWSKI CONSTRUCTION INC. <br />1005 South Lafayette <br />South Bend, Indiana 46601 <br />QUOTATION: $38,700.00 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the above quotations were <br />referred to the Division of Engineering for review and recommendation. <br />AWARD BID - OLIVER PLOW WORKS - SITE DEMOLITION - PHASE I - PROJECT NO. 100- <br />092A <br />Mr. Carl P. Littrell, City Engineer, advised the Board that on June 17, 2002, bids were received and <br />opened for the above referred to project. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Littrell recommends that the <br />Board award the contract to Bianchi Industrial Services LLC, 208 Long Branch Road, Syracuse, New <br />York, in the amount of $263,581.00. Therefore, Mr. Inks made a motion that the recommendation <br />be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Littrell seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE FINAL CHANGE ORDER AND PROJECT COMPLETION AFFIDAVIT - LEEPER <br />PARK/RIVERSIDE DRIVE PARKING IMPROVEMENTS - RIETH RILEY CONSTRUCTION - <br />PROJECT NO. 101-035 <br />Mr. Gilot advised that Mr. Toy Villa, Public Construction Manager, has submitted the Final Change <br />Order on behalf of Rieth Riley Construction, Post Office Box 1775, South Bend, Indiana, indicating <br />that the contract amount be decreased by $2,882.28 for a new contract sum including this Change <br />Order in the amount of $96,651.68. Additionally submitted was the Project Completion Affidavit <br />indicating this new final cost. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, <br />the Final Change Order and the Project Completion Affidavit were approved subject to the filing of <br />the appropriate three-year Maintenance Bond. <br />APPROVE FINAL CHANGE ORDER AND PROJECT COMPLETION AFFIDAVIT - KELLY <br />PARK IMPROVEMENTS - RIETH RILEY CONSTRUCTION - PROJECT NO. 101-022 <br />Mr. Gilot advised that Mr. Toy Villa, Public Construction Manager, has submitted the Final Change <br />Order on behalf of Rieth Riley Construction, Post Office Box 1775, South Bend, Indiana, indicating <br />that the contract amount be decreased by $197.90 for a new contract sum including this Change Order <br />in the amount of $27,290.65. Additionally submitted was the Project Completion Affidavit indicating <br />this new final cost. Upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the Final <br />Change Order and the Project Completion Affidavit were approved subject to the filing of the <br />appropriate three-year Maintenance Bond. <br />
