<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - BULLA FROM JOHNSON TO
<br />O'BRIEN - GRADUATION CELEBRATION
<br />Mr. Littrell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Ms. Avis Taylor, 1601 North Johnson, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to
<br />block party on June 8, 2002, from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell,
<br />seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - O'BRIEN FROM KELLER TO
<br />BULLA - GRADUATION PARTY
<br />Mr. Littrell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Ms. Tasha Pyce,1645 North O'Brien, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to block
<br />party on June 22, 2002, from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell,
<br />seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION -TO CLOSE STREET - FREMONT FROM HAMILTON
<br />TO MAR UETTE - BIKE RALLY SAFETY DAY
<br />Mr. Littrell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Mr. Rachel Barrett, 1722 North Fremont, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to
<br />event on June 20, 2002, from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell,
<br />seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - ST. JOSEPH FROM HANEY
<br />TO BROADWAY - GRADUATION PARTY
<br />Mr. Littrell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Ms. Marta Bueno, 201 East Haney, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to block
<br />partyon June 8, 2002, from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded
<br />by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT CHARITABLE SOLICITATION -
<br />DOLLARS AGAINST DIABETES
<br />Mr. Littrell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Mr. Eric Brown, St. Joseph Valley Building and Construction Trades Council, 1345 Northside
<br />Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to charitable solicitation for "Dollars
<br />Against Diabetes" on June 15, 2002, at Miami and Ireland Road; Lincolnway and Ironwood; State
<br />Road 23 and Ironwood; and South Michigan and Ireland. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell,
<br />seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved, subj ect to participants wearing
<br />safety garments.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - ESTABLISHMENT OF A RESIDENTIAL PARKING
<br />ZONE - 200 WEST MARION
<br />Mr. Littrell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Park Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a
<br />request as submitted by Mr. T. Poledor, 211 West Marion, South Bend, Indiana, to establish a
<br />residential parking zone in the 200 block of West Marion. A traffic study was performed in the area,
<br />and meets the criteria. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and
<br />carried, the establishment of a residential parking zone was approved.
<br />DENY REQUEST - TO ENCROACH ONTO PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY - CONSTRUCT
