014 <br />REGULAR MEETING MAY 28, 2002 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the above referred to <br />Agreement was approved and executed. <br />APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT- AMERICORPS MEMBER <br />Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement between the City of South Bend and <br />AmeriCorps, for a part-time summer position for one member, May 20, 2002 through August 31, <br />2002. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the <br />Agreement was approved and executed. <br />APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT - DOWNTOWN CENTRAL DEVELOPMENT AREA PUBLIC <br />SAFETY SERVICES - SOUTH BEND POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement between the City of South Bend and <br />the South Bend Police Department, for downtown area public safety services. Mr. Gilot noted that <br />the Agreement is in the amount of $50,000.00. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, <br />seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the Agreement was approved and executed. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - WALNUT FROM DUBAIL TO <br />PRAIRIE - GRADUATION PARTY <br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering, <br />Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Lori <br />Bowerman, 1721 South Walnut, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to block party <br />on June 9, 2002, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Littrell, seconded by Mr. <br />Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - DUBAIL FROM KENDALL_TO <br />SCOTT - NEW JERUSALEM CRUSADE <br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering, <br />Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. <br />Daniel Ibarra, New Jerusalem, 1634 South Kendall, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above <br />referred to event from June 24 through June 30, 2002, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Upon a motion <br />made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - LAFAYETTE FROM PARK <br />AVENUE - FIELD DAY ACTIVITIES -MADISON SCHOOL <br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering, <br />Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. <br />Jennifer Court, Madison School, 832 North Lafayette, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above <br />referred to event on May 31, 2002, from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT 2002 MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS SUPER <br />CITIES WALK <br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering, <br />Park Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as <br />submitted by Mr. Greg Bennett, Multiple Sclerosis Society, I I I West Jefferson, South Bend, Indiana <br />to conduct the above referred to walk on May 18, 2002, beginning at 9:00 .m., on the designated <br />route as submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the <br />recommendation was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT NORTHWEST LITTLE LEAGUE <br />PARADE <br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering, <br />Park Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as <br />submitted by Ms. Bonnie Preston, Northwest Little League, 1623 North Iowa Street, South Bend, <br />Indiana to conduct the above referred to parade on May 18, 2002, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on the <br />designated route as submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and <br />carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />
