014 REGULAR MEETING MAY 28, 2002 Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the above referred to Agreement was approved and executed. APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT- AMERICORPS MEMBER Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement between the City of South Bend and AmeriCorps, for a part-time summer position for one member, May 20, 2002 through August 31, 2002. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the Agreement was approved and executed. APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT - DOWNTOWN CENTRAL DEVELOPMENT AREA PUBLIC SAFETY SERVICES - SOUTH BEND POLICE DEPARTMENT Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement between the City of South Bend and the South Bend Police Department, for downtown area public safety services. Mr. Gilot noted that the Agreement is in the amount of $50,000.00. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the Agreement was approved and executed. APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - WALNUT FROM DUBAIL TO PRAIRIE - GRADUATION PARTY Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Lori Bowerman, 1721 South Walnut, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to block party on June 9, 2002, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved. APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - DUBAIL FROM KENDALL_TO SCOTT - NEW JERUSALEM CRUSADE Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. Daniel Ibarra, New Jerusalem, 1634 South Kendall, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to event from June 24 through June 30, 2002, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved. APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - LAFAYETTE FROM PARK AVENUE - FIELD DAY ACTIVITIES -MADISON SCHOOL Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Jennifer Court, Madison School, 832 North Lafayette, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to event on May 31, 2002, from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved. APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT 2002 MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS SUPER CITIES WALK Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering, Park Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. Greg Bennett, Multiple Sclerosis Society, I I I West Jefferson, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to walk on May 18, 2002, beginning at 9:00 .m., on the designated route as submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved. APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT NORTHWEST LITTLE LEAGUE PARADE Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering, Park Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Bonnie Preston, Northwest Little League, 1623 North Iowa Street, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to parade on May 18, 2002, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on the designated route as submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved.
