<br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO REJECT BIDS/RE-ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS -
<br />SALE OF ABANDONED VEHICLES
<br />In a memorandum to the Board, Ms. Kathy Davis, Code Enforcement, requested permission to reject
<br />the sole bid opened at the Board of Public Works meeting held on February 11, 2002. In addition,
<br />Ms. Davis requested permission to re -advertise the sale of abandoned vehicles. Upon a motion made
<br />by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the requests to reject bids and re -advertise for the
<br />receipt of bids were approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - BIO-SOLIDS
<br />TRUCKING - ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES
<br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Ken Zmudzinski, Environmental Services, requested permission
<br />to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to service. Therefore, upon a motion made
<br />by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the request to advertise for the receipt of bids was
<br />approved.
<br />APPROVE FINAL CHANGE ORDER AND PROJECT COMPLETION AFFIDAVIT -PARKING
<br />GARAGE REPAIRS - ST. JOSEPH/JEFFERSON AND MAIN/COLFAX - KASER SPRAKER
<br />CONSTRUCTION - PROJECT NO. 101-080
<br />Mr. Gilot advised that Mr. Toy Villa, Public Construction Manager, has submitted the Final Change
<br />Order on behalf of Kaser Spraker Construction, 25487 West State Road 2, South Bend, Indiana, for
<br />the above referred to project, with no monetary change. In addition, the Project Completion
<br />Affidavit was submitted indicating a final cost of $75,542.00. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot,
<br />seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the Final Change Order and Project Completion Affidavit were
<br />approved.
<br />APPROVE PROJECT COMPLETION AFFIDAVIT - WAYNE/WESTERN AVENUE
<br />IMPROVEMENTS - BROOKS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY - PROJECT NO. 101-002
<br />Mr. Gilot advised that Mr. Toy Villa, Public Construction Manager, has submitted the Project
<br />Completion Affidavit on behalf of Brooks Construction Company, Inc., 18130 US Highway 20,
<br />Goshen, Indiana, for the above referred to project, indicating a final cost of $2,129,101.32. Upon
<br />a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the Project Completion Affidavit
<br />was approved.
<br />APPROVE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CONTRACTS/ADDENDA
<br />The following Community Development Contracts and Addenda were presented to the Board for
<br />approval. It was noted that Chuck Leone, City Attorney is a Board Member of the Near Northwest
<br />Neighborhood and the Neighborhood Resources and Technical Services Corporation. Toy Villa,
<br />Public Construction Manager, is a Board Member of the South Bend Heritage Foundation:
