0313 <br />4 <br />REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 25, 2003 <br />APPROVE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT - ST. JOSEPH RIVER CROSSING - SELGE <br />CONSTRUCTION - PROJECT NO, 103-045 <br />Mr. Gilot advised that in accordance with the bid awarded on August 11, 2003, to Selge Construction <br />Company, Inc., 2833 South 11" Street, Niles, Michigan, in the amount of $208,039.75 for the above <br />referred to project, a Contract in said amount was being submitted for Board approval. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the Contract was approved and the <br />appropriate Certificate of Insurance, Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond as <br />submitted were filed. <br />APPROVE AUTHORIZATION FOR ENTRY UPON PUBLIC PROPERTY FOR DRILLING <br />PURPOSES - ALT & WITZIG ENGINEERING <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the Authorization for Entry <br />Upon Public Property for Drilling Purposes, as submitted by Alt & Witzig Engineering, was <br />approved, to perform soil borings and drilling wells to monitor underwater soil pollution in the right <br />of way area on the west side of Olive Street south of its intersection with Western Avenue. <br />APPROVE SUPPLEMENTAL MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING - BOSCH <br />CORPORATION <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the Supplemental <br />Memorandum of Understanding was approved, as submitted by Bosch Corporation, South Bend, <br />Indiana, which revises the approved representatives of the Robert Bosch Corporation, for all projects <br />in conjunction with the City of South Bend Division of Engineering. <br />APPROVAL OF PROPOSAL - DEVELOPMENT OF MAINTENANCE EXCELLENCE - PHASE <br />I - WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT - LIFE CYCLE ENGINEERING INC. <br />Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of a Proposal between the City of South Bend and Life <br />Cycle Engineering, Inc., 4360 Corporate Road, North Charleston, South Carolina, for the above <br />referred to project. Mr. Gilot noted that the Proposal is in the amount of $30,550.00.
