Therefore, <br />upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the Contract was approved <br />and executed. <br />APPROVE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT - WALNUT/EUCLID CONTROL STRUCTURE - <br />HRP CONSTRUCTION - PROJECT NO. 102-078C <br />Mr. Gilot advised that in accordance with the bid awarded on July 14, 2003 to HRP Construction, <br />5777 Cleveland Road, South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $152,100.00 for the above referred to <br />project, a Contract in said amount was being submitted for Board approval. Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the Contract was approved and the appropriate <br />Certificate of Insurance, Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond as submitted <br />were filed. <br />APPROVE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT - OLIVER BOILER HOUSE - WINDOW PACKAGE <br />- HARMON, INC. - PROJECT NO. 103-027C <br />Mr. Gilot advised that in accordance with the bid awarded on July 14, 2003 to Harmon Inc., 3801 <br />South Main, South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $207,666.00 for the above referred to project, <br />a Contract in said amount was being submitted for Board approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the Contract was approved and the appropriate Certificate <br />of Insurance, Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond as submitted were filed. <br />DENY LICENSE APPLICATION FOR SCRAP METAL DEALERS/JUNK <br />DEALERS/RECYCLING OPERATIONS/TRANSFER STATIONS <br />Mr. Gilot stated that the following application has been received: <br />CTA Enterprises d/b/a/ South Side Auto Salvage <br />1602 Lafayette <br />It was noted that unfavorable recommendations have been received by the Fire Department. The <br />facility has many code and fire violations. The Board discussed the application, and asked the Clerk <br />to recommend to Administration and Finance that the proper enforcement be acted upon, and that <br />the business cease and desist within a reasonable amount of time. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot <br />seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the License Application was denied. <br />
