0254 <br />REGULAR MEETING JULY 14, 2003 <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL <br />PARADE <br />Mr. Littrell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic and Lighting, Park <br />Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted <br />by Ms. Deborah Armstad, Faith Baptist Church, 1002 Blaine, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the <br />above referred to parade, on July 26, 2003 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., on the designated route as <br />submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the <br />recommendation was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CHANGE TRAFFIC PATTERNS - 4H FAIR <br />Mr. Littrell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic and Lighting, Police <br />Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. Frank <br />Ronchetti, 4H Fair, 5117 South Ironwood, South Bend, Indiana, to change traffic patterns on <br />Ironwood, Jackson and York Road in conjunction with the 4H Fair, held on July 28 through August <br />2, 2003. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, ;,econded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation <br />was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT CANDLELIGHT VIGIL <br />Mr. Littrell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic and Lighting, Park <br />Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted <br />by Ms. Ann Harris, 2606 Hartzer, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to candlelight <br />vigil at Elwood and Elmer Street, on July 30, 2003, from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF LICENSE APPLICATION FOR CARNIVALS AND CIRCUSES - STERLING & <br />REID BROTHERS CIRCUS <br />Mr. Littrell stated that the Board is in receipt of favorable recommendations from the Police <br />Department, Code Enforcement, Fire Department, Engineering and the Legal Department in reference <br />to a License Application for a circus, as submitted by Mr. Niles Garden, 1748 Independence <br />Boulevard, Sarasota, Florida, for a circus to be held at the 4H Fairgrounds on July 16 and 17, 2003. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the License Application was <br />approved. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - AGREEMENT FOR TEMPORARY USE OF THE <br />PUBLIC SIDEWALK FOR A SIDEWALK CAFE - 127 NORTH MAIN - FIDDLER'S HEARTH <br />INC. <br />Mr. Littrell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Engineering, Building <br />Department, Park Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a <br />request as submitted by Ms. Carol Hamilton Meehan, 126 South Scott Street, South Bend, Indiana, <br />for the above referred to permit. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and <br />carried, the Agreement was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF LICENSE APPLICATION FOR A MASSAGE ESTABLISHMENT - 224 WEST <br />COLFAX - THE SPA AT COLFAX, INC. <br />Mr. Littrell stated that the Board is in receipt o`favorable recommendations from Ms. Beth Hamilton, <br />224 West Colfax, South Bend, Indiana for a License Application for a Massage Establishment. <br />Favorable recommendations were submitted -fi om the Fire Department, Police Department, Building <br />Commissioner and the City Attorney's Office. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. <br />Inks and carried, the License Application was approved. <br />ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 51-2003 - DISPOSAL OF CITY OWNED PROPERTY <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the following Resolution was <br />adopted by the Board of Public Works: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 51-2003 <br />WHEREAS, I.C. 36-9-6-1 gives the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend the <br />right and duty to have custody of, control of, use of, and dispose of in accordance with Indiana <br />statutes, all real and personal property owned by the City of South Bend; and <br />r-J <br />1 <br />
