24 <br />REGULAR MEETING JULY 14.2003 <br />APPROVAL OF CONTRACT - DEFINING RAINFALL EVENTS AND RIVER FLOW IN <br />CONJUNCTION WITH THE LONG TERM PLAN BEING DEVELOPED BY GREELEY AND <br />HANSEN - LIMNO-TECH, INC. <br />Mr. Littrell stated that the Board is in receipt of a Contract between the City of South Bend and <br />Limno-Tech, Inc., 501 Avis Drive, Ann Arbor, Michigan, for the above referred to project. Mr. <br />Littrell noted that the Contract is in the amount of $4,972.00. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the Contract was approved and executed. <br />APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT - CONDUCT/TABULATE A RIVER USE SURVEY TO BE <br />USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH LONG TERM PLAN BEING DEVELOPED BY GREELEY <br />AND HANSEN - MCCORMICK GROUP <br />Mr. Littrell stated that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement between the City of South Bend and <br />the McCormick Group, 8888 Keystone Crossing, Indianapolis, Indiana, for the above referred to <br />project. Mr. Littrell noted that the Agreement is in the amount of $49,396.00. Therefore, upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the Agreement was approved and <br />executed. <br />APPROVAL OF AUTHORIZATION FOR ENTRY UPON PUBLIC PROPERTY FOR DRILLING <br />PURPOSES - PARAMOUNT ENVIRONMENTAL AND MECHANICS LAUNDRY & SUPPLY <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the Authorization for Entry <br />Upon Public Property for Drilling Purposes was approved for the business of performing soil borings <br />and drilling wells to monitor underwater soil pollution in the western right of way of Scott Street <br />north of United Drive and west of Scott Street. <br />APPROVAL OF AUTHORIZATION FOR ENTRY UPON PUBLIC PROPERTY FOR DRILLING <br />PURPOSES - ENSR INTERNATIONAL <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the Authorization for Entry <br />Upon Public Property for Drilling Purposes was approved for the business of performing soil borings <br />and drilling wells to monitor underwater soil pollution in the southern right of way of Mishawaka <br />Avenue, east of the intersection of Mishawaka Avenue and South Ironwood Drive. <br />ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 54-2003 - ACCEPTING THE TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY <br />FROM SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the following Resolution was <br />adopted by the Board of Public Works: <br />RESOLUTION NO.54-2003 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA ACCEPTING THE TRANSFER OF <br />REAL PROPERTY FROM SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Indiana, Department of Redevelopment <br />("Redevelopment") is the owner of the following described real property situated in St. Joseph <br />County, Indiana: <br />(See Exhibit A, attached) <br />(hereinafter referred to as the "Real Property"), and; <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Indiana ("City"), acting by and through the Board of <br />Public Works, hereby expresses its desire to acquire Real Property from the Commission; and <br />WHEREAS, Redevelopment is desirous of transferring the Real Property to the City; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to I.C. 36-7-14-3, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />("Commission") is the governing body of the City of South Bend, Department of Redevelopment and, <br />pursuant to I.C. 36-7-14-12.2 may dispose of the Real Property; and <br />
