<br />AWARD BID - FREDRICKSON PARK LANDFILL CLOSURE AND GAS EXTRACTION
<br />SYSTEM -PROJECT NO. 103-018
<br />Mr. Carl P. Littrell, City Engineer, advised the Board that on May 19, 2003, bids were received and
<br />opened for the above referred to project. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Gilot recommends that the
<br />Board award the contract to Heritage Industrial Services, LLC, 7525 East 391h Street, Indianapolis,
<br />Indiana, in the amount of $1,058,900.00. Therefore, Mr. Gilot made a motion that the
<br />recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Inks seconded the
<br />motion which carried.
<br />PURCHASE ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT - ONE (1) PETERSEN LIGHTNING LOADER -
<br />CODE ENFORCEMENT
<br />Mr. Matthew Chlebowski, Director, Central Services, requested permission to purchase one (1)
<br />Petersen Lightning Loader from the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, Best Equipment
<br />Company, 2804 North Catherwood, Indianapolis, Indiana. Mr. Chlebowski stated this is a renewal
<br />of a contract awarded June 5, 2000, in the amount of $90,314.00. Therefore, Mr. Inks made a
<br />motion that the request be approved. Mr. Littrell seconded the motion which carried.
<br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - SALE OF ABANDONED
<br />VEHICLES
<br />Ms. Cathy Brucker, Director, Department of Code Enforcement, requested permission to advertise
<br />for the receipt of bids for approximately ten (10) abandoned vehicles, which are being stored at
<br />Super Auto Salvage Corporation, 3300 South Main Street, South Bend, Indiana. It was noted that
<br />all vehicles have been stored more than fifteen (15) days, identification checks have been run for
<br />auto theft and the owners and lienholders notified. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by
<br />Mr. Inks and carried, the above request was approved.
