<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT "TAKE BACK THE NIGHT" MARCH
<br />- MADISON CENTER
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic & Lighting, Police
<br />Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Andrea
<br />Popielski, Madison Center, 403 East Madison, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred
<br />to march on April 24, 2003, from 6:15 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., on the designated route as submitted. Upon
<br />a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - PUBLIC PARKING FACILITY
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the following license
<br />application was approved:
<br />P&B Parking Company
<br />420 West Washington Street
<br />The above licence application was approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for
<br />issuance of a license. It was noted that the required Proof of Insurance as well as the hours and rates
<br />to be charged was attached to the application.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT "SUPPORT OUR TROOPS" MARCH
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic and Lighting, Park
<br />Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Ms. Paula Morton, 26632 West Edison Road, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred
<br />to march, on April 19, 2003, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the designated route as submitted.
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was
<br />approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - SYCAMORE FROM LASALLE
<br />TO COLFAX - DIABETES RESEARCH FUND RAISER
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic and Lighting, Police
<br />Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. Jim Hertel,
<br />219 Sycamore Street, South Bend, Indiana, to close Sycamore from LaSalle to Colfax in conjunction
<br />with their event to be held on June 14, 2003, until 9:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Inks,
<br />seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT C1NCO DE MAYO PARADE
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic and Lighting, Park
<br />Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Ms. Jesusa Rodriguez, Post Office Box 8042, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred
<br />to parade, on May 3, 2003, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., on the designated route as submitted.
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the recommendation was
<br />approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT ANNUAL CROP WALK FOR
<br />HUNGER
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic and Lighting, Park
<br />Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Ms. Carol Mayernich, United Religious Community, 2015 Western Avenue, South Bend, Indiana,
<br />to conduct the above referred to walk, on September 28, 2003, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., on the
<br />designated route as submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and
<br />carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - NORTH ST. PETER FROM
<br />COLFAX TO WASHINGTON STREET - BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering,
<br />Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. Jason
<br />Colettis, 819 East Washington, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to block party
<br />on April 26, 2003, until 9:00 p.m.. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and
