REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 10, 2005 (� . <br />Bid Bond was not submitted <br />BID: $17,092.00 - 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 <br />Mr. Gilot noted that Riedman Motors Co., Inc., did not provide a Bid Bond with their bid, <br />but did supply a letter from their insurance company stating that they will provide a Bid <br />Bond. No date for the receipt of the. Bid Bond was noted. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks, and carried, the above bids were referred to Central <br />Services for review and recommendation. <br />OPENING OF BIDS/AWARD BID — TRUCKING OF BELT -PRESSED <br />WASTEWATER SLUDGE FOR LAND APPLICATION (SEWAGE WORKS/O&M) <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referred to <br />equipment. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend <br />Tribune and the Tri-County News, which were found to be sufficient. The following bid <br />was opened and publicly read: <br />JDS TRUCKING, INC. <br />19039 Glendale Avenue <br />South Bend, Indiana 46637 <br />Bid was signed by: Mr. Colleen Sachman <br />Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order <br />Non -Discrimination commitment form was completed <br />Ten percent (10%) Bid Bond was submitted <br />BID: Monday through Friday - $69.50 <br />Saturday - $77.00 <br />Sunday — No Bid <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks, and carried, the above bid <br />was referred to Organic Resources for review and recommendation. <br />After reviewing the bid, Mr. Ken Smith, Organic Resources, recommends that the Board <br />award the contract to the lowest, responsible and responsive bidder, JDS Trucking, Inc., <br />19039 Glendale Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $69.50 Mondays through <br />Fridays and $77.00 on Saturdays. Therefore, Mr. Gilot made a motion that the <br />recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above.
