Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell seconded by Mr. Gilot and carried, the License Applications were approved. RESCIND APPROVAL OF SCRAP METAL DEALERS/JUNK DEALERS/RECYCLING OPERATIONS/TRANSFER STATIONS — SHAPIRO SALES — 2929 WEST SAMPLE It was noted that the above License Application was approved on July 11, 2005. In addition, they have not applied to the Health Department for that permit. Water Works stated that they are now in compliance with the Wellhead Protection Program. The Fire Department stated they do not have part of their fire sprinkler system in service. It was noted that the Legal Department had set a hearing on the appeal of a license denial for July 23, 2005, and no one attended on behalf of Shapiro Sales. The Hearing Officer affirmed the denial of the license. Mr. Gilot stated that unless Shapiro Sales complies with the outstanding Fire Department requirements and passes reinspection, the application will remain denied. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the approval for Shapiro Sales was rescinded. 1
