Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Littrell seconded by Mr. Gilot and carried, the License Applications were approved. <br />RESCIND APPROVAL OF SCRAP METAL DEALERS/JUNK <br />DEALERS/RECYCLING OPERATIONS/TRANSFER STATIONS — SHAPIRO <br />SALES — 2929 WEST SAMPLE <br />It was noted that the above License Application was approved on July 11, 2005. In <br />addition, they have not applied to the Health Department for that permit. Water Works <br />stated that they are now in compliance with the Wellhead Protection Program. The Fire <br />Department stated they do not have part of their fire sprinkler system in service. It was <br />noted that the Legal Department had set a hearing on the appeal of a license denial for <br />July 23, 2005, and no one attended on behalf of Shapiro Sales. The Hearing Officer <br />affirmed the denial of the license. Mr. Gilot stated that unless Shapiro Sales complies <br />with the outstanding Fire Department requirements and passes reinspection, the <br />application will remain denied. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. <br />Littrell and carried, the approval for Shapiro Sales was rescinded. <br />1 <br />
