<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the above
<br />Quotations were referred to Community and Economic Development for review and
<br />recommendation.
<br />AWARD BID — CHARLES STREET SEWER AND WATER MAIN EXTENSION
<br />PROJECT NO. 104-005
<br />Mr. Jason Durr, Engineering, advised the board that on March 21, 2005, bids were
<br />received and opened for the above referred to project. After reviewing those bids, Mr.
<br />Durr recommends that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsible and
<br />responsive bidder, Rieth Riley Construction, 25200 State Road 23, South Bend, Indiana,
<br />in the amount of $150,315.00. Therefore, Mr. Littrell made a motion that the
<br />recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Inks
<br />seconded the motion, which carried.
<br />AWARD BID — CHAPIN STREET RECONSTRUCTION — WESTERN AVENUE TO
<br />LINCOLNWAY WEST — PROJECT NO. 105-006 (EDIT/SEWER/LRSA)
<br />Mr. Jason Durr, Engineering, advised the board that on March 14, 2005, bids were
<br />received and opened for the above referred to project. After reviewing those bids, Mr.
<br />Durr recommends that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsible and
<br />responsive bidder, Brooks Construction Company, 625 Beiger, Mishawaka, Indiana, in
<br />the amount of $1,439,046.44. Therefore, Mr. Inks made a motion that the
<br />recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Littrell
<br />seconded the motion, which carried
<br />AWARD QUOTATION — RIVER PARK PARTNERSHIP CENTER AREA
<br />SERVICE RAMPS AND APPROACH REPAIRS — PROJECT NO. 105-030

<br />Mr. Jason Durr, Engineering, advised the board that on February 28, 2005, quotations
<br />were received and opened for the above referred to project. After reviewing those
<br />quotations, Mr. Gilot recommends that the Board award the contract to the lowest
<br />responsible and responsive bidder, Kaser Spraker Construction, 25487 West State Road
<br />2, South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $16,336.00. Therefore, Mr. Inks made a motion
<br />that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Mr.
<br />Littrell seconded the motion, which carried.
<br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO CONDUCT AUCTION — UNCLAIMED PROPERTY -
<br />SOUTH BEND POLICE DEPARTMENT
<br />In a memorandum to the Board, Chief Richard Kilgore, South Bend Police Department,
<br />requested permission to conduct a public auction on May 14, 2005 at the South Bend
<br />Police Department, 701 West Sample, South Bend, Indiana, to dispose of unclaimed
<br />property as allowed by law. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by
<br />Mr. Littrell, the above request was approved.
