~. <br />~± c: s <br />REGULAR MEETING MARCH 14, 2007 <br />ACCEPT AND APPROVE RETIREMENT -ALAN DZIALAKIEWICZ <br />President Rodriguez advised that Chief Luther Taylor has submitted to the Board the Application and <br />Declaration for Retirement for Pump Engineer Alan Dzialakiewicz effective March 2, 2007. In his <br />letter, Chief Taylor noted that Engineer Dzialakiewicz has served the Department with loyalty and <br />distinction during the last thirty-nine (39) years and eleven (11) months. Chief Taylor joined the <br />Boazd in thanking him for his commitment, dedication and yeazs of distinguished service to the <br />South Bend Fire Department and the citizens of South Bend. Members also wished him a long and <br />happy retirement. Upon a motion made by Mr. Cottrell, seconded by Ms. Dempsey and carried, the , <br />retirement was accepted and approved. <br />ACCEPT AND APPROVE RETIREMENT -PETER PAPOI <br />President Rodriguez advised that Chief Luther Taylor has submitted to the Board the Application and <br />Declaration for Retirement for Pump Engineer Peter Papoi effective March 2, 2007. In his letter, <br />Chief Taylor noted that Engineer Papoi has served the Department with loyalty and distinction <br />during the last thirty-five (35) years and five (5) months. Chief Taylor joined the Board in thanking <br />him for his commitment, dedication and yeazs of distinguished service to the South Bend Fire <br />Department and the citizens of South Bend. Members also wished him a long and happy retirement. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Cottrell, seconded by Ms. Dempsey and carried, the retirement was <br />accepted and approved. <br />ACCEPT AND FILE DONATION TO SOUTH BEND FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />Chief Taylor advised the Boazd that the South Bend Fire Department received a generous anonymous <br />donation of weight lifting equipment in excellent condition. Chief Taylor noted that the equipment is <br />very much appreciated and will be utilized throughout the Fire Department. There being no <br />objections, the donation was accepted and filed. <br />FILING OF MONTHLY STATISTICAL REPORT -FEBRUARY 2007 <br />Chief Luther Taylor submitted to the Board the monthly report for the month of February, 2007 , <br />complied by the Prevention/Inspection Bureau of the Fire Department.
