_, <br />at ~3 `;, <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 21, 2007 <br />FILING OF AMENDED MONTHLY STATISTICAL ANALYSISREPORT-DECEMBER 2006 <br />Police Chief Thomas Fautz stated that the amended statistics for December reflect the four <br />homicides that occurred in December. Chief Fautz consulted with the FBI and was told the <br />homicides should be included in the December 2006 statistics because they occurred in December. <br />President Rodriguez indicated that unless there were questions or objections by members of the <br />Board, the amended statistical report for the month of December 2006 as submitted by the Police <br />Department would be accepted for filing. The <br />donation is for the demonstration as part of the "Science Alive" fair. Upon a motion by Mr. Cottrell, <br />seconded by Mr. BonDurant and carried, the donation was accepted. <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />ACCEPT AND APPROVE RETIREMENT -THOMAS STACHOWIAK <br />President Rodriguez advised that Chief Luther Taylor has submitted to the Board the Application and <br />Declaration for Retirement for Lieutenant Paramedic Thomas Stachowiak effective February 12, <br />2007. Chief Taylor noted that he has served the Department with loyalty and distinction during the <br />last thirty-five (35) years and eight (8) months. In his letter, Chief Taylor joined the Board in <br />thanking him for his commitment, dedication and years of distinguished service to the South Bend <br />Fire Department and the citizens of South Bend. Members also wished him a long and happy <br />retirement.
