Martin, ler <br />SPECIAL MEETING NOVEMBER 20, 2006 <br />The Board of Public Safety met in a special meeting at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, November 20, 2006, <br />with President Jesusa Rodriguez and Board Members atrick Cottrel Juanita Dempsey and Bruce J. <br />BonDurant present. Board Member Donald Alford was not present. Also present during the meeting <br />were Board Attorney Thomas Bodnar, and Police Chief Thomas Fautz. The hearing was held in the <br />Police Selection Panel, at the South Bend Police Department in the Auditorium, 701 West Sample <br />Street, South Bend, Indiana. <br />POLICE SELECTION PANEL <br />Chief Thomas Fautz submitted a letter recommending that the following individuals be accepted for <br />employment on a probationary basis with the South Bend Police Department effective November 20, <br />2006: <br />Douglas Alan Masterson <br />David Maurice-Ralph Hackett <br />Theodore Roosevelt Robert <br />Alan Patrick Wiegand <br />The above applicants have met the requirements of the application process of the South Bend <br />Police Department. <br />Alan Wiegand will be attending the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in Plainfield Indiana on <br />December 11, 2006. Douglas Masterson is a certified police officer in the State of Indiana and will <br />not have to attend the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. Davin Hackett and Theodore Robert are <br />certified in the State of Michigan and will go through the waiver process for the Indiana Law <br />Enforcement Academy. Upon a motion made by Ms. Dempsey, seconded by Mr. BonDurant and <br />carried, the above mentioned applicants were accepted for employment as probationary officers with <br />the South Bend Police Department effective November 20, 2006. <br />SWEARING IN OF POLICE OFFICERS <br />- DOUGLAS ALAN MASTERSON <br />- DAVIN MAURICE-RALPH HACKETT <br />- THEODORE ROOSEVELT ROBERT <br />- ALAN PATRICK WIEGAND <br />Chief Thomas Fautz stated in a letter of recommendation that the above individuals be accepted for <br />employment, as probationary police officers, with the South Bend Police Department, effective <br />November 20, 2006.
