1. CALL TO ORDER
Welcome and Opening Remarks by Chair
Roll Call / Verification of Quorum
2. Approval of Agenda and Minutes
Review and approval of CPRB Previous Meeting Minutes
o Please sign the meeting minutes and submit them to Director King.
Approval of the September 17th Agenda.
3. Director's Report
Community Police Review Office operational update, including complaint administration, public reporting, training, and community engagement.
Update regarding the Community Police Review Office / Community Police Review Board 2027 budget hearing scheduled for September 30, 2026.
Legislative and administrative update concerning proposed amendments affecting
the Community Police Review Board, including quorum, training, attendance, and electronic participation requirements.
4. OLD BUSINESS
Juvenile Interactions and De-escalation Policy Recommendation.
Presentation and discussion of the proposed department-wide juvenile interactions and de-escalation recommendation for the South Bend Police
Department.
5. NEW BUSINESS
Consideration of future Board training, policy review, and agenda priorities.
Requests from Board members to place matters on a future agenda.
6. PUBLIC COMMENT
▪ Speakers must state their name before addressing the Board.
Comments are limited to three (3) minutes per speaker.
▪ Comments must be directed to the Board as a whole and remain respectful and
orderly.
▪ Speakers should avoid discussing confidential information, active investigations, or
personally identifiable information.
▪ The Board will receive public comments but will not engage in responsive dialogue
during this portion of the meeting.
