TARIFF PROTECTION l&M's Large Load Framework Protecting Custorne, s, Supporting Growtl1 • Large users help spread costs, supporting stable rates for everyone • Adding large users helps reduce upward pressure on rates compared to a system without them • Large users make long-term commitments so we can plan and invest wisely to provide reliable power for everyone • Safeguards protect existing customers from unexpected changes • Make costs predictable for large users and existing customers • large users pay for 100% of the energy they use; if they do not use all .of the energy they request, they are required to pay a minimum of 80% of the service they request, regardless of whether it is used The November 2024 Large Load Settlement Agreement that ensures long-term financial commitments from new large users and builds in protections for existing customers was signed by Indiana Michigan Power, Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, Google, the Data Center Collective and the Citizens Action Coalition. 1-JDiANA MICHIGA\J POW::R I A 'J Ac.P COfvl;JANY C1 IY COUNCIL BRIEF NG SEPTt:MBER 2020 6
