ORDINANCE NO. <br />All ORI3II~1AI~iCE OF THE COMMOl~I COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEl~1D, I1~DIAliIA APPROPRIATIl®TG $360,000.00 OF GRAl~1T FUl\1DS FROM <br />THE Ul~TITED STATES E1WIR01®TMEl~1TAL PROTECTIOI~T AGEl~TCY WITHIl®1 <br />FUl®TD 209 FOR EI®iVIRO1~ME1®TTAL CLEAN-UP OF BROWl®1FIELD SITES <br />WITHIl~I THE CITY OF SOUTH BE1~TD <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br />This bill will appropriate $360,000 from a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency <br />Brownfield Grant within Fund 209 for environmental clean-up of Brownfield sites within <br />the City of South Bend. These funds have been awarded to the City of South Bend as <br />part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment (ARRA) Act of 2009 supplemental <br />funding. The funds will be used as part of South Bend's Brownfields Cleanup Revolving <br />Loan Fund Program. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of <br />South Bend, Indiana: <br />Section I: The sum of $360,000.00 is appropriated for brownfields remediation <br />within Studebaker/Olives Revitalization Grant Funds (#209) out of supplemental monies <br />received from the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency through the American <br />Recovery and Reinvestment (ARRA) Act of 2009. <br />Section II.
