REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 10, 2009 RISE AND REPORT Councilmember White made a motion to rise and report to the full Council. Councilmember Dieter seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of seven (7) ayes. ATTEST: ATTEST: _________________________ _________________________ John Voorde, City Clerk Ann Puzzello, Chairperson Committee of the Whole REGULAR MEETING RECONVENED Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend reconvened in the Council Chambers on the fourth floor of the County-City Building at 7:29 p.m. President Derek D. Dieter presided with seven (7) members present. BILLS – THIRD READING ORDINANCE NO. 9948-09 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1351 AND 1355 PYLE AVENUE AND THE ADJACENT VACANT LOT LYING TO THE NORTH, COUNCILMANIC DISTRICT 4, IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA This bill had third reading. Councilmember Rouse made a motion to pass this bill, subject to the written commitments. Councilmember White seconded the motion which carried. The bill passed by a roll call vote of seven (7) ayes. ORDINANCE NO. 9949-09 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AMENDING VARIOUS SECTIONS OF CHAPTER 14 ARTICLE 9 OF THE SOUTH BEND MUNICIPAL CODE ENTITLED “REGULATIONS ADDRESSING SPECIAL EVENTS IN RESIDENTIALLY ZONED AREAS” This bill had third reading. Councilmember White made to amend this bill as in the Committee of the Whole. Councilmember Oliver Davis seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of seven (7) ayes. Additionally, Councilmember White made a motion to pass this bill as amended. Councilmember Oliver Davis seconded the motion which carried by a roll call vote of seven (7) ayes. 8
