TAYLOR <br /> STREET, SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br /> <br /> <br />BILL NO. 09-54 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL <br /> OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br /> APPROVING A PETITION OF THE SOUTH <br /> BEND BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS FOR <br /> THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 3423 SOUTH <br /> MICHIGAN STREET WITH CONTIGUOUS <br /> VACANT LAND <br /> <br /> <br />Councilmember Puzzello made a motion to refer Bill Nos. 09-52; 09-53 and 09-54 to the <br />Zoning and Annexation Committee and set them for Public Hearing and Third Reading <br />on July 27, 2009. Councilmember Oliver Davis seconded the motion which carried by a <br />voice vote of eight (8) ayes. <br /> <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />Councilmember Henry Davis stated that he attend the 2009 Gospel Expo on Friday, July <br />10, 2009 at the Blue Herron at Blackthorn. He stated there was good fellowship between <br />the African American Community and the event was well attended. St. Joseph County <br />Democratic Chairman Butch Morgan was the welcoming speaker. He stated that <br />everyone had a great time. He also stated that he attending the opening of the "Lincoln <br />the man you did not know." exhibit at the Studebaker Museum, on Tuesday, June 30, <br />2009. He stated that there was a presentation from Jan Shupert-Arick (Lincoln Highway <br />Committee), Andrew Beckman Archivist, Becky Bonham, Executive Director, <br />Studebaker Museum. He stated that it was truly awesome, period costumes were worn <br />and songs were sung from the 1800’s, by Jill Van Lew. He stated that Richard Murdock, <br />Indiana State Treasurer was in attendance and the keynote speaker. Mark McDonald was <br />the master of ceremony and he is the president of the Board of Trustees.
