Turning to the public portion David Sassano, BZA Board Member spoke opposed <br />to the bill rather advocating overhaul of the whole appeal process. No members <br />of the public spoke in favor. Calling upon the Committee to recommend to full <br />Council one way or the other, Mr. Kirsits accepted a motion from Councilmember <br />LaFountain followed by a second from Councilmember Oliver Davis the bill go <br />favorably. All supported save Councilmember Varner. <br />Bill No. 09-33 -Special Exception for 445 S. Meade Street <br />Chairman Kirsits called upon Mark Lyons of the Building Department to explain <br />the purpose of the petition filed by Maria Galvez owner of 445 S. Meade. This <br />property, a duplex, was properly zoned as such before suffering extensive <br />damage by fire. Before the rehab was completed the zoning reverted to single <br />family. Mrs. Galvez asked the mufti-family designation be allowed. Mr. Lyons <br />explained all criteria of the petition were successfully completed and the BZA had <br />forwarded it to the council with a favorable recommendation. Councilmember <br />Oliver Davis motion favorably.
