INTERVIEW PROCESS OF LEGISLATIVE RESEARCH ASSISTANT <br />Jan Hall, Director of Human Resources for-the City of South Bend reported that she had reduced <br />the number of applicants for the Council Legislative Research Assistant 65 to 26 then to 13. She <br />suggested the Council review and rank these applicants on a form or grid she has provided. The <br />top five or six would subsequently be interviewed. The Council was to complete the ranking by <br />Friday, March 13, 2009. Jan suggested an interview team of three or four Council Members do <br />the actual interviews. Council President Dieter emphasized the position was under Council <br />purview. Councilmember Henry Davis asked if past general job applicants get consideration. <br />Jan Hall said, typically no though applications were held for six months. City Controller Catherine <br />Fanello said software tracking applications was coming. Under miscellaneous, Catherine Fanello <br />said an RFP for the City's IT services has been posted. <br />There being no further business to come before the Committee at this time, Chairperson <br />LaFountain adjourned the meeting at 5:20 p.m. <br />tl~intain, Chairperson <br />nel and Finance Committee <br />
