St.Vincent St. <br /> 5 Year Residential Property <br /> Bill No. 15-83 Correction to Resolution 4471-15 of a <br /> Scrivener's Error Concerning the Disposition of <br /> Real Property at 51190&51270 Mayflower Rd. <br /> Councilmember Gavin Ferlic, Chair of the Community Investment Committee opened the scheduled <br /> hearing, with a quorum present, to consider three bills on the agenda. <br /> The first bill, 15-51, requests consideration for a 5 year personal property tax abatement for Fed-Ex <br /> Ground Package System at 5115 Dylan Dr. <br /> Chris Fielding from the Community Investment Department made the presentation. Mr.Tom Gebby the <br /> manager of the Fed Ex facility was present to answer any questions. <br /> The Fed Ex move from Mishawaka to the new facility four times larger would create 71 new jobs and <br /> move 127 from Mishawaka to South Bend. Over the 5 year abatement period $1,286,801 in taxes would <br /> be generated. Of that total$592,944 would be abated. <br /> President Tim Scott welcomed the company to the 1n district. <br /> Committee members Dr. Ferlic and Dr.Varner made the appropriate motions to recommend favorably <br /> which all supported. <br /> The second item, bill 15-82,was a request for a 5 year residential abatement from James and Susan <br /> Farrington for a new home they are building at 802 E.St.Vincent.
