Councilmember Varner stated that he would like to see Century Center be more productive and become a real producer. He stated that he hoped next year will be a better year and if not the Council will need to look at other opportunities. BILL NO. 78-08 PUBLIC HEARING ON A BILL OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR BUDGET TRANSFERS FOR VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS WITHIN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA FOR THE YEAR 2008 Councilmember LaFountain, Chairperson, Personnel and Finance Committee, reported that this Committee met this afternoon on this bill and sends it to the Council with a favorable recommendation. th Catherine Fanello, City Controller, 12 Floor County-City Building, 227 W. Jefferson Blvd., South Bend, Indiana, made the presentation for these bills. Ms. Fanello advised that this bill would allow for the transfer of funds within various funds within various departments of the City for expenses in calendar year 2008.
