REGULAR MEETING MAY 12, 2014 Councilmember Gavin Ferlic, Chairperson, Community Investment Committee met this afternoon and send bill 14 -52 to the full Council favorably. Presenter- Tim Baker- 227 S Main St- We apologize for not filing the report, we had a change of staff at the time. The tax abatement had been applied, and went live it July 17' and a discussion going on right now to expand. This being the time heretofore set for the Public Hearing on the above bill, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard. There being no one present wishing to speak to the Council either in favor of or in opposition to this bill, Councilmember White made a motion to adopt 14 -51. Councilmember Mr. Ferlic seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of eight (8) ayes. BILLS - FIRST READING BILL NO. 32 -14 FIRST READING ON A BILL AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 122 S. NILES AVE., COUNCILMANIC DISTRICT NO. 3 IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA This bill had first reading. Councilmember Henry Davis made a motion to refer this bill to the Area Plain Commission. Councilmember White seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of eight (8) ayes. BILL NO 33 -14 FIRST READING ON A BILL OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF SOUTH BEND INDIANA, AND AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED IN PENN TOWNSHIP, CONTIGUOUS THEREWITH; COUNCILMANIC DISTRICT 5 DELDORA LLC 17716, 17802 & 17830 IRELAND ROAD, MISHAWAKA, IN 46544 This bill had first reading. Councilmember Henry Davis made a motion to refer this bill to the Area Plan Commission. Councilmember Dr. Varner seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of eight (8) ayes. Just the committee, thank you. Theodore Robert- 261 Fredrickson St- We having a saying that when you start digging in a whole it is best to stop digging. Our Mayor is continuing to lie to us, there was a Press Release that my complaint was a matter of misunderstanding. The four page documents I provided was very clear.
