REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 13, 2014 This bill had first reading. Councilmember Schey made a motion to move this to Parks and Recreation Committee on January 22 ❑d meeting. Councilmember Varner seconded the motion, which was carried by a voice vote of eight (8) ayes. BILL NO. 03 -14 FIRST READING ON A BILL AMENDING THE ZONING ORDIANCE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1912, 1918 AND 1924 EDSION ROAD, SOUTH BEND INDIANA 46617 COUNCILMANIC DISTRICT NO.4 IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA This bill had first reading. Councilmember Scott made a motion to move this to Area Plan Committee on January 22 meeting. Councilmember Varner seconded the motion, which was carried by a voice vote of eight (8) ayes. UNFINISHED BUSINESS REPORTS FROM THE AREA BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS BILL 14 -06 SPECIAL EXCEPTION - 1502/1512 MICHIGAN STREET Councilmember Varner made a motion to refer bill 14 -06 to the Zoning & Annexation Committee and set them for Public Hearing and Third Reading on January 22, 2014. Councilmember Dieter seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of eight (8) ayes. NEW BUSINESS Community relations committee Relations Meeting on January 22, 2014 at 5 o'clock pm. On the 29' there is a CCAC meeting at 3:30pm at Council Chambers Councilmember Varner has given all the snowfall in the last few weeks. I want to thank them for their efforts. Councilmember Dieter I want to thank everyone for their public works. I have a card for all members that want to sign that. On Health and Public Safety I will be getting the statistics and calling the meeting together for issues at Park Jefferson, Tim Scott has already started to work on that. PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR Jesse Davis- P.O. Box 1025 South Bend- I ask that you take a look at a new city ordinance and new city sewer program. I was told that is was already implement back in 2010 but found that is just came about in November 2013. They have an outside contractor that is double billing members and have complicated the process. I don't think this came before the council. You have to apply to be a contractor but this was never given to the public, please see if this was legal for what they did. Councilmember President Davis, I would like to acknowledge our new controller John Murphy, and our new Deputy Chief Brian Pawlowski. Thank you.
