It is expected investment of $1.2 <br />million, projected taxes created are $116,335, estimated taxes to be abated over the four (4) year <br />period are $63,612, and total taxes to be paid over the four (4) year period are $96,523. I will <br />answer any questions that you may have. <br /> <br />Petitioner: John C. Hitchcock, 1732 Crooks Road, Detroit, Michigan – I appreciate this <br />opportunity to be here. We operate with quality, safe, affordable, and serious academic <br />component readying children for kindergarten for over thirty (30) years. We have several <br />locations in the state of Indiana. We plan on starting construction within the next few weeks and <br />finishing the project hopefully in early November. We appreciate the consideration. <br /> <br />This being the time heretofore set for the Public Hearing on the above bill, proponents and <br />opponents were given an opportunity to be heard. <br /> <br />There being no one present wishing to speak to the Council either in favor of or in opposition to <br />this bill, Councilmember Schey made a motion to adopt 15-24. Robinson St., South Bend, IN 46613 <br /> <br /> <br />AN ECONOMIC REVITALIZATION AREA FOR PURPOSES OF A <br />(5) FIVE-YEAR PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT FOR <br /> <br />Bamar Plastics, Inc. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a petition for personal property tax abatement consideration has been filed <br />with the City Clerk for consideration by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, <br />requesting that the area commonly known as 1702 S. Robinson St., South Bend, IN 46613 and <br />which is more particularly described as follows: <br /> <br />Business Personal Property <br /> <br />and which has a Key Number to be assigned be designated as an Economic Revitalization Area <br />under the provisions of Indiana Code 6-1.1-12.1 et seq., and South Bend Municipal Code Sections <br />2-76 et seq., and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Community Investment has concluded an investigation and <br />prepared a report with information sufficient for the Common Council to determine that the area <br />qualifies as an Economic Revitalization Area under Indiana Code 6-1.1-12.1, et seq., and South <br />Bend Municipal Code Sections 2-76, et seq., and has further prepared maps and plats showing the <br />23 <br /> <br /> <br />
