Meridian, Suite 340 <br /> Indianapolis, IN 46225 <br /> www.citiesandtowns.org <br /> <br />“The Official Voice of Municipal Government in Indiana” <br /> <br /> <br />Indiana Association of Cities and Towns <br />Annual Conference Begins in South Bend on Sunday <br /> <br /> <br />th <br />Indianapolis, IN – The 108 Indiana Association of Cities and Towns (IACT) Annual Conference <br />and Exhibition begins Sunday, Oct. 12, as municipal officials, including mayors, clerk-treasurers <br />and council members descend upon South Bend to adopt the Association’s legislative agenda, <br />elect officers and attend educational workshops. <br /> <br />This year’s theme is Mission: Possible and will highlight more than 20 educational workshops <br />and seminars, the IACT Annual Awards Luncheon honoring municipal achievement and an <br />Exhibit Hall with 138 businesses and vendors that provide services to municipal government. <br />st <br />The host city South Bend will conduct mobile workshops showcasing 21 century technology <br />that is making economic and environmental sense and will showcase how forming public private <br />partnerships have spurred economic development opportunities throughout the city. <br /> <br />More than 500 municipal officials will attend the conference, making it the state’s largest <br />gathering of municipalities.
