<br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ORDINA,NICF. NO.
<br />4990 -68, CHAPTER 40 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY
<br />OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FORMERLY REFERRED TO AS ZONING
<br />ORDINANCE NO. 3702 AS AMENDED.
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
<br />BEND, INDIANA.
<br />Section 1.
<br />That Zoning Ordinance No. 4990 -68, Chapter 40 of the
<br />Municipal Code of the City of South Bend, Indiana, formerly
<br />known as Zoning Ordinance No. 3702, be and the same is
<br />hereby amended and supplemented by zoning the following
<br />described property "B" Residential District and "A" Height
<br />and Area District.
<br />A legal description of the property is as follows:
<br />SECTION A, LYING ON THE EAST SIDE OF 35TH STREET
<br />Lot 1, the South half of Lot 8, the South half of Lot 9,
<br />Lots 13, 14, and 15 of Plat of Fernwood, City of South
<br />Bend, Indiana.
<br />SECTION B, BEING I4EST OF 35TH STREET
<br />Lots 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18
<br />of Jerome's First Addition to the City of South Bend, Indiana;
<br />and,
<br />A parcel of property adjacent to Jerome's First Addition and
<br />described as follows:
<br />A part of the North Half (k) of the Southeast
<br />Quarter of Section Eight (8), Township Thirty -
<br />seven (37) North, Range Three (3) East, which
<br />part is bounded by a line running as follows:
<br />viz: Beginning on the North line of the right -
<br />of -way of the Grand Trunk Western Railway Company
<br />which point is 308.32 feet East of the inter-
<br />section of the East line of 32nd Street in the
<br />City of South Bend, and the North line of the
<br />said right -of -way of the Grand Trunk Western
<br />Railway Company, thence East from said point of
<br />beginning along the North line of said railroad
<br />right -of -way 145.83 feet, more or less, to the
<br />Southwest corner of Lot 18, as shown on the re-
<br />corded Plat of Jerome's First Addition to the
<br />City of South Bend, thence North 190.23 feet to
<br />the Southwest corner of Lot 7 as shown on the
<br />recorded Plat of Jerome's First Addition, thence
<br />[lest 148 feet, more or less, to the Northeast
<br />corner of a tract of land conveyed by the grantors
<br />herein to the St. Joseph County Chapter of the
<br />National Red Cross on December 11, 1967; thence
<br />South 190 feet, more or less, to the place of
<br />beginning.
