787 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 3866 <br />AN ORDINANCE MIENDING ORDDINANCE NO. 3702 COMMONLY <br />KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND, INDIANA. <br />(Lot located at 1015 -1017 Portage Avenue) <br />APRIL 14TH, 1952 <br />The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Hahn made a motion for <br />suspension of rules. Councilman Glass seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of 7 ayes - <br />0 nays - 2 absent (Pinter and Niezgodski). <br />The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 7 ayes - 0 nays - 2 absent (Pinter and <br />Niezgodski). <br />RESOLUTION <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the Civil City of South Bend, Indiana, that said City, through its Board <br />of Park Commissioners, grant a lease of land located at Greenlawn Ave. and North Side Blvd. in said City for <br />the use of the United States of America for an Armory for the United States Army Reserve Corp. for a period of <br />not exceeding fifty (50) years at an annual rental of One Dollar-.($1.00) per year with an option on the part of <br />the Lessee at the termination of the lease to restore the site, or transfer ownership of the building erected <br />thereon to the Lessor. <br />PERCY ALFORD <br />Member of Common Council <br />Councilman Korpal made a motion that the Council take a recess of ten minutes. Councilman Glass seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried. <br />(TEN MINUTE RECESS) <br />Councilman Glass made a motion that this meeting of the Council be recessed until next Monday evening, April <br />21st, 1952, at 7:30 P.M., to make a decision on the adoption of said resolution.
